CEED Answer Key 2027 Dates

Save your Part-A responses before the result is declared on 3 March 2027. Response downloads close when results are announced; the scorecard becomes available later, on 10 March.

How to Download and Match CEED Responses

The answer key gives the accepted answers. Your response sheet shows what you entered or selected during the test. You need both to calculate your Part-A marks.

• Open the CEED 2027 website and use the Part-A answer-key and candidate-response links when they are released.
• Sign in to the candidate portal to access and save your responses.
• Open the Master Question Paper alongside the key. Match the question itself before comparing the answer.
• For an MSQ, compare the full set of selected options. For a NAT, compare the entered number with the answer or accepted range shown in the key.

The question order can differ between candidates. Use the Master Question Paper numbering when submitting comments, rather than assuming that a question had the same position on every screen.

The CEED 2026 question paper is useful for practising this comparison before the exam. Apply the marking scheme for the year of the paper you attempt.

How to Challenge the Draft Answer Key

Report a discrepancy through the candidate portal by 21 January 2027, 5 pm. Select the question number from the Master Question Paper and explain the specific answer you disagree with.

A useful comment identifies the disputed step. For a numerical question, show the calculation and units. For a visual or reasoning question, explain which detail changes the answer. Add supporting material where the portal allows it, rather than submitting only a claim that the key is wrong.

Keep a copy of what you submit and any acknowledgement shown by the portal. The final key is scheduled for 26 January; use that version for the later score calculation.

The draft-key comment window and result re-evaluation are different processes. CEED allows comments at the draft-key stage, but does not offer re-evaluation or re-totalling after evaluation.

CEED 2027 Part-A Marking Scheme

Part A contains 44 questions for 150 marks. NAT, MSQ and MCQ questions have different scoring rules.

An MSQ can have one or more correct options. Full credit requires every correct option and no incorrect option. Partial marks apply only to the combinations below.

If A, B and D are correct, choosing A and D earns +2. Choosing only A earns +1. Choosing A, C and D loses one mark because it includes C, an incorrect option. If only A is correct, selecting A earns the full +4, not +1.

The CEED syllabus covers the design, observation and reasoning skills tested across these question types; the question-type totals are not chapter-wise weightage.

How to Calculate Your CEED Part-A Score

Add four marks for each correct NAT answer. Score each MSQ separately, then add three marks for each correct MCQ and subtract half a mark for each incorrect MCQ. Unanswered questions score zero.

Worked example: the response breakdown below accounts for all 44 questions.

The example produces 81 out of 150 in Part A. It does not give a final CEED score or rank, because Part B has not been evaluated. It also cannot establish shortlisting until the 2027 Part-A cutoff is announced.

If the final key changes an answer or accepted range, recalculate that question. Where the final key includes a specific instruction for a question, apply that instruction rather than assuming every disputed question receives the same treatment.

Part B, Cutoff and Result

Part B has five compulsory tasks for 100 marks: sketching, creativity, form sensitivity, visual sensitivity and problem identification. Each carries 20 marks. There is no single model solution for these subjective tasks.

Only candidates shortlisted through Part A have their Part-B booklets evaluated. The Part-A cutoff is due on 4 February 2027; the result follows on 3 March 2027.

The published final-score formula is 0.25 × Part-A marks + 0.75 × Part-B marks. A Part-A estimate alone cannot supply the Part-B value or the final rank. The evaluated Part-B booklet is not shared with candidates.
