The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has released the CEED Cut-off for PART A on February 6 ,2025. Part B answer booklets will be evaluated if candidates meet the CEED Cut-off for Part A. The CEED Part A cutoff released in the form of mean and deviation are 45.48 and 16.98 for admission into top IITs and are calculated using the formula: Mean + (Standard Deviation / 2).
- For General category cut-off equates to approximately 53.97 marks.
- For SC/ST/PwD students the cut-off is usually 50% of the general cut-off that is 26.99 marks
- For OBC-NCL/EWS students, the cut-off is 90% of the general cut-off that is 48.57 marks.
The final merit list will be prepared by assigning a weightage of 25% to Part A scores and 75% to Part B scores.
According to recent data 6037 students registered for the examination and number of candidates who appeared are 4910, signifies that 81% of students appeared for exam.
Update:
As per CEED 2025 Information brochure results will be declared by March 5, 2025. CEED 2025 Score Card will be available for download from March 10, 2025. Score Card will not be available for download after June 11, 2025. A hard copy of the CEED Score Card will NOT be sent to any candidate.

How to calculate CEED Cut-off 2025 for Part A?
The Part A exam cutoff is decided by a method made by the exam's governing organization, IIT Bombay. Marks obtained in Part-A will be used to shortlist candidates. The cut-off marks (????) for Part-A for shortlisting candidates in the GEN category will be ???? + ( ???? 2 ) = ????, where ???? is the average mark, and ???? is the standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by ALL the candidates in Part-A of CEED 2025. The ???? and ???? will be rounded off to two decimal places. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfil a relaxed cut-off mark, which will be 0.9???? for OBC-NCL/EWS and 0.5???? for SC/ST/PwD.

CEED 2025 Part-B Cut-off ( Expected)
Part-B answer books will be evaluated manually Only for candidates shortlisted from Part-A and also there is no provision for RE-EVALUATION or RE-TOTALLING in CEED 2025. There are five questions in Part B A normalized score, denoted by the letter "S," will be computed using the formula below.

What is a good score in CEED 2025 Part A?
A good score in CEED 2025 is usually dependent upon various factors like difficulty level of the exam ,number of students taking exam etc. However based on past trends 60+ score is usually considered as a safe score in CEED 2025 AND 75+ score gives candidate high chances of getting admission in Top IITs like IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi.

What is a good rank in CEED 2025?
A good rank in CEED 2025 depends upon cut-off , competition and institute preference. Based on previous year trends rank below 100 is ideal for top IITs like IIT Bombay, IISc Bangalore and IIT Roorkee. Whereas rank achieved between the score range of 100-200 is competitive for IITs like IIT Hyderabad,IIT Kanpur and IIT Roorkee. If a candidate achieves Rank between 200-300 still they can secure a rank in IIITDM Jabalpur and IIT Jodhpur. Rank below 300 makes IIT admissions difficult but private design schools are still an option.

CEED 2025 Counselling
There is no centralized CEED 2025 Counselling Process. The CEED participating institutes will conduct counseling separately at an institute level after the declaration of the CEED Result. Candidates who are assigned a merit rank in CEED 2025 will be eligible to apply directly to their desired institute through their respective admission portal.
The participating institutes will shortlist candidates based on their CEED 2025 merit ranks and may conduct further admission rounds. The counseling process may vary from institute to institute.
