CEED 2027 Category-Wise Cutoff

IIT Bombay calculates the Part-A threshold from the marks of all candidates in CEED 2027. The mean and standard deviation are rounded to two decimal places. If the GEN cutoff is called delta, the other category cutoffs follow these rules.

Part B is manually evaluated only for shortlisted candidates. Every shortlisted candidate receives a rank with the result. A high estimated Part-B performance cannot compensate for missing the Part-A shortlisting cutoff.

How to Calculate the Category Cutoff

The actual 2027 thresholds depend on the examination's marks distribution. The illustration explains the arithmetic; it does not forecast a qualifying score.

Qualifying Cutoff, Institute Cutoff and Final Merit

An institute may ask for a qualifying degree, a category-wise CEED score and an interview or design test. These requirements apply together. A CEED score above one threshold does not waive the other conditions.

Do not compare a raw Part-A mark with a table labelled CEED score, or a CEED score with an institute's combined final-merit mark. They measure different stages.

IIT Delhi M.Des Cutoff 2026

The 2026-27 M.Des. shortlisting criteria at IIT Delhi included these CEED score and qualifying-degree aggregate requirements.

The accepted degree routes included B.Tech./B.E./B.Des., B.Arch., four-year BFA/BVA, and M.Sc./M.A. or equivalent. The department's table listed all disciplines within those qualifying routes.

These were criteria for the 2026-27 admission shortlist. They are not CEED Part-A qualifying marks or the last admitted candidate's closing rank. The degree aggregate values are reproduced in the scale used by the department; they should not be read as percentages such as 6%.

IISc M.Des CEED Cutoff 2026

For Product Design, Development and Management at IISc Bangalore, the 2026-27 interview/written-test shortlisting report listed the following CEED-route scores.

KM denotes Kashmiri Migrant; PH is the disability-category label used in this report. These are admission shortlisting figures for the CEED route. The same programme also had GATE and CAT routes, with different score scales.

IISc's 2026 selection used 70% weightage for CEED/GATE/CAT score and 30% for the interview. Crossing a shortlist threshold did not complete the interview stage or establish a final offer.

IIT Bombay M.Des Admission Thresholds 2026

IIT Bombay used a different combined selection calculation in 2026: 70% CEED score + 30% written test and interview. Its admission brochure set both a final-merit minimum and a separate minimum for the written-test/interview contribution.

For example, a General-category applicant with a combined final score of 52 but only 8 in the written-test/interview contribution would miss the separate minimum of 10. The final total alone is not enough.

For shortlisting, IIT Bombay used a factor of seven against category-wise seats in each stream, subject to eligible applicants being available and the published score condition. The condition tested whether 0.7 × CEED score + 30 could reach the category's final-merit threshold.

The 50, 45 and 33 figures above are therefore not standalone CEED-score cutoffs. They apply to IIT Bombay's combined final-merit score. Offers then depend on the category-wise merit list and seats.

What Happens After You Clear the Cutoff?

After Part-A shortlisting, your Part-B marks contribute to the final CEED score. Results are scheduled for 3 March 2027, with scorecard downloads from 10 March to 31 July.

Choose the programme you want, check its qualifying-degree route and submit its separate admission application. The relevant comparison is your category and the programme's selection method, not a universal label such as a safe CEED rank.

The 2026 examples show why this matters: IIT Delhi published a CEED-score and degree-aggregate shortlist, IISc used a CEED-route score threshold before its interview, and IIT Bombay applied a combined merit score with a separate test/interview minimum.
