Read Full ReviewCivil Engineering is one of the core branches in Engineering and ia highly reputated one which is why I chose it. It was one of the best course available at my JEE rank. Coming to faculty, it is highly experienced with almost everyone with 25+ years of experience. Teaching methods are highly interactive and up to date in terms of technology. The class rooms are spacious and AC conditioned and have multiple smart boards.
The admission process is solely through JOSSA council and there is no interview . JOSSA process starts soon after JEE advance result. I chose IIT bombay because of its great faculty, large campus and great placement record. It is one of the best college in India. The campus is full of greenery and it feels like a new city inside mumbai. There are 18 hostels and great sports and cultural facilities to explore.
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is very accurate and relevant to daily life. The faculty is superb. They are great at explaining. Exams were conducted on time and were easy because of the quality teaching.
I live in Mumbai so its close by. Its also one of the most reputed colleges in India. The library is filled with a plethora of books. The gym is amazing. The view from the top of the energy building is mesmerizing.
Read Full ReviewCourse curriculum isn't too hectic and many things to learn other than just your degree. The academics aren't gonna hold you back from exploring the different opportunities and there's so much more you learn even in course curriculum other than just the things relating to your degree.
It is pretty good college and there's a lot of opportunities available here, besides for engineering it's one of the best and i always had that lean towards engineering, besides the campus size is really big too. And there's something to explore for every kind of interest you may have.
Read Full ReviewFacilities are skilled and academics are good with 80% percent attendance criteria. There are tutorial session with students which help in solving questions. Prof are good but some are really strict about attendance and time.
Very good campus placement with very decent packages. Average package for civil engineering is around 20 lakhs and highest package is around 1.5 cr. Median package is around 18 lakhs. Around 90% students placed as some opt for higher studies
Read Full ReviewAs we all know the professors of IIT Bombay are top notch, each and every professor is amongst the top educators in their particular field in the world, I choose civil engineering because I was really very curious about structure building and stability
IIT Bombay being highest rated indian college in world rankings, it's placement reports are getting more and more impressive year by year, campus placements are great, the eligibility criteria is different for different companies, companies ask for a minimum cpi of 7-7.5 depending upon the standards of company
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is nearly common for all the student in 1st Year, with only 2 department specific courses. The rest of the courses are hasmed(I chose psychology and design) , CS101, linear algebra and differential equation, physics lab. We also had biology last semester. Faculty is also very good and knowledgeable and always happy to help.
The placements in the core sector is very low. But you always have opportunities in non core sector. The highest core sector placement I know of the last year was 46lpa. But the median was 23 lpa. 86% of the batch was placed and others opted for higher studies. So there is no problem in getting placed.
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum except for some common courses in the first year is quite relevant and stimulating. The faculties are also highly qualified and one can make use of the opportunity by constantly interacting with them. There are two exams - mainly mid-sems and end-sems. The mid-sems occur after 2 months and the end-sems occur after 2 months of the mid-sems. In between both these exams are quizes that carry a significant weightage in your grades. The difficulty depends on the content of the course and the professor from what I have experienced so far. Some exams may be challenging but as long as you attend all classes and pay attention and solve tutorials you can ace these exams easily.
Internships are offered at the end of 2nd and 3rd year and they depend on your involvement in cultural and sports activities as well as your academic grades and skills. Same goes for campus placements which occur at the end of 7th semester.
Read Full ReviewWell I chose this course because that is what I got with this rank, but post my first year when we started the real chemical engineering, I started liking the fundamentals and complexity of this discipline. To add on to this, the faculty of my department are really helpful and if you seek for it, they will be more than happy to help you out with any issues you face.
The criteria for eligibility vary according to the different companies. Some have eligibility in terms of CGPA, rest go with the resume shortlisting and one to one interview method. For my branch, in non core the highest package goes upto 35 LPA.
Read Full ReviewI chose this course, because I found interest in chemistry during my JEE time. These faculties are highly qualified, and are really good at what they are, Their teaching method is said to be nice. We have 2 semester in a year, where a semester last for 4 months, and we have our mid-sem every 2 months, with quizzes and other exams, going over and over
Eligibility for internships is after second year and for placement it is after 3rd year, Google, microsoft, amazon, are top recruiters. Highest package is 1.2crore, average package is 24lpa. I am still exploring my options
