Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose maths because the faculty were the most friendly. Note that at IISc, you take three common semesters before choosing your major. Most professors have completed their education in very esteemed institutions and are pioneers in their field. Exam difficulty depends on the course and the professor. However they are usually quite reasonable.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell but I personally do not have experience with it. But there are a lot of companies that come in. Notable examples include Airbus. Students are allowed to take three months internships with no question and longer ones with permission. Not sure what the stipend is since most maths people don't opt for this. Sadly I haven't taken any internships so I cannot comment on it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

IISC has a rigorous course curriculum, in the first year you won't get any time apart from your course work, the faculties are excellent in their domain, and the fees here are very nominal for MTech program which is only 30k for two years, and very low hostel and mess fees as well

Placement Experience:

You will get a lot of placement opportunities on campus, big products based and startups are coming every year from October onwards with a median package of 22lpa for the CDS Department, and every other branch is eligible to sit in any company they want
