What Does SRMJEEE Cutoff Mean?

An admission cutoff is the closing rank for a particular programme, campus and admission round. It differs from the Class 12 percentage needed for eligibility and from the rank band used for a scholarship.

SRMJEEE 2027 admission closing ranks are not available yet. A single number described as “the SRM cutoff” cannot cover every campus, course and phase. The rank and counselling process also considers programme eligibility and seat availability.

Class 12 Marks Required for Admission

For 2026, the standard SRMIST route required 60% in Physics, Mathematics and one permitted third subject. The Biology-based routes for the Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering and Biomedical Engineering departments had their own allowed combinations.

This is an academic eligibility threshold, not a minimum SRMJEEE exam score. A strong entrance rank does not remove the subject and percentage conditions. Conversely, meeting 60% does not reserve a seat in the preferred programme.

SRM University AP and SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat refer applicants to their respective eligibility rules. The common exam name should not be used to apply one campus’s condition to every institution.

2026 Scholarship Rank Bands: SRMIST Campuses

The following bands applied to 2026 Phase 1 scholarships at Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, NCR-Ghaziabad and Baburayanpettai. They are scholarship thresholds, not branch admission cutoffs.

The merit and rank-based concessions apply to academic tuition. Hostel, transport and other charges remain payable. The Founder’s Scholarship has a different scope and should not be treated as identical to the tuition-only schemes.

For example, Phase 1 rank 300 fell within the listed 25% tuition-concession band for these campuses. That observation describes the scholarship table; it does not establish a CSE allotment.

Ramapuram and Tiruchirappalli Scholarship Comparison

A rank can fall in different scholarship bands at different campuses. In this historical table, rank 900 falls in Ramapuram’s 25% band and Tiruchirappalli’s 50% band. Compare the underlying tuition and other costs as well as the percentage concession.

These are Phase 1 bands. Do not transfer a Phase 1 threshold to another phase without that phase’s scholarship notice.

SRM AP Scholarship Conditions

SRM AP’s 2026 Phase 1 Equitable Representation Scholarship applied to students from specified underrepresented states and Union Territories. Its rank bands were 82-5,000 for 90%,5,001-13,000 for 75%,13,001-23,000 for 50%, and 23,001-30,000 for 25% tuition concession. A further 25% band covered 30,001-38,000 for the specified non-CSE programmes.

The notice excluded CSE–Product Engineering with AI and CSE–AI & Future Technologies from the Founder’s, Merit and Equitable Representation scholarships. Those programmes also required an additional interview and examination round during admission.

Scholarship-category seats were limited. The notice allowed allocation to the next category with a higher fee if seats in a category were unavailable. Academic eligibility and participation in counselling were still required. These conditions make a rank-only promise unreliable.

Using Your Rank During Counselling

Identify the exact campus and programme before comparing any closing rank. CSE Core, a CSE specialisation and a different engineering branch are separate choices. A report from another phase or campus cannot confirm the same outcome for your choice.

The campus preference in the SRMJEEE application was collected for statistical purposes. Students made actual programme choices during counselling. Keep choices tied to programmes for which the academic requirements are met.

The admission portal issues the allotment. Acceptance and payment within the given deadline are then required. A rank card, a scholarship band and a provisional allotment letter each represent a different step.

A score calculation from the 130-mark exam pattern cannot supply an exact rank or a guaranteed closing rank. Use the rank issued for that phase when following its counselling instructions.
