SRMJEEE 2021 Score Card contains crucial information about the applicants. From roll number to application details, every detail matters and is helpful in identifying meritorious students from lakhs of aspirants. An error in any one of the information can lead to the cancellation of enrollment or admission. Hence, students must make sure to fully check the details mentioned in the scorecard. Here is the information that students must double-check on the scorecard:
The normalization of scores is a process employed by the SRMIST admission board to make sure that the students sitting for the exam do not receive any undue advantage or disadvantage due to the difficulty level of their chosen slots. When an exam is split into multiple slots, there is a chance that one question paper is tougher than the other one. In competitive exams, where seats are won or lost over decimal scores, even a sliver of variation can make or break an applicant’s chances of qualifying. SRMJEEE seeks to remove this possibility through the process of normalization. Here is the structure of the marks achieved by each student:
The impact of Normalization
Normalization Formula Marks are normalized through a formula applied to the percentile score obtained by each student. The value below which observations fall is known as the percentile score. Since the percentile score determines the percentage scored by each candidate in SRMJEEE or that board.
SRMJEEE 2021 merit list determines the list of students that are called for counselling for a seat at SRMIST. The merit list is made available after the declaration of results. Students who clear the cut off get one step closer to their dreams of studying in one of the best universities in India. The merit list is split into two parts: The drawing list and the waiting list. The drawing list allots seats on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis to selected students. Whereas, the remaining seats are filled by the students enlisted on the waiting list.
Merit List Particulars:
The admission board and examination authority at SRMIST decide the cut off for each entrance exam through careful deliberation and consideration of syllabus, schedules and previous year papers. The cutoff list is published online, soon after the results are announced. Each student must meet the cut off to qualify for the merit list. The cut off differs each year by a slight margin, making it easier for students to set a certain goal for each entrance test.
Points to be noted:
SRMJEEE 2021 counselling process commences soon after the results of the first phase are announced. The counselling for the rest of the entrance exam happens in the succession of the results. The seats for designated branches are allotted in the counselling process. The counselling is based on the merit list of the SRMJEEE 2021 test scores alone, and it is not contingent on any other marks or achievements. In the light of the Covid-19 pandemic, seat allocation, like the exam, is done online. Details of enlistment, branch and college preferences and other details are sent to the candidates via email.
