SRMJEEE 2024 Counselling
SRMJEEE 2024 counselling process commences soon after the SRMJEEE results of the first phase are announced. The counselling for the rest of the entrance exam happens in the succession of the results. Normalization of Scores in SRMJEEE 2024

In competitive exams, where seats are won or lost over decimal scores, even a sliver of variation can make or break an applicant’s chances of qualifying. SRMJEEE seeks to remove this possibility through the process of normalization. Here is the structure of the marks achieved by each student:
- Raw Marks: Actual marks obtained by each applicant from the paper of their slot.
- Normalized Marks: Modified marks consolidated after the treatment of actual marks through the process of normalization.
The impact of Normalization
- Under normalization, if a candidate’s slot has easier questions in comparison to the other slot of his preferred discipline, then his actual marks will be more than his normalized marks.
- But, if a candidate’s slot has tougher questions in comparison to the other slot of his preferred discipline, then the actual marks will be lesser than his normalized marks.
Normalization Formula Marks are normalized through a formula applied to the percentile score obtained by each student. The value below which observations fall is known as the percentile score. Since the percentile score determines the percentage scored by each candidate in SRMJEEE or that board.
SRMJEEE 2024 Merit List
SRMJEEE 2024 merit list determines the list of students that are called for counselling for a seat at SRMIST. The merit list is made available after the declaration of results. Students who clear the cut off get one step closer to their dreams of studying in one of the best universities in India. The merit list is split into two parts: The drawing list and the waiting list. The drawing list allots seats on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis to selected students. Whereas, the remaining seats are filled by the students enlisted on the waiting list.
