SRM University has made some major changes in SRMJEEE 2021 exam pattern. Earlier, the exam has three sections i.e Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics but in the year 2021 two more sections have been added which are English and Aptitude. Both phases of SRMJEEE 2021 has successfully conducted.
- Candidates applied for B. Tech courses have to attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Aptitude questions.
- Candidate applied for Biomedical Engineering courses have to attempt Biology questions instead of Mathematics.

SRMJEEE 2021 Exam Pattern
SRMJEEE 2021 is conducted in online mode. The questions are multiple choice objective based. Some important information about SRMJEEE 2021 are:-
- Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
- Mode: Online computer test
- Medium of Language: English
- Question Type: Multiple Choice Question(MCQ)
- Registration Fees: 1100INR
Although SRM University accepts applications through both online and offline mode but this year considering the well-being of everyone they have accepted all the applications through the online mode. Another Fact to be noted is that this year total no. of applicants for SRMJEEE is 2.3 lakh approx.
Changes in SRMJEEE 2021 Exam Pattern
Some major changes paper pattern of SRMJEEE 2021 are as follow:-
- Marking Scheme: Earlier 3 marks were allotted for each correct answer but from 2021 onwards 1 mark will be allotted for each correct answer without any negative marking.
- Number of Sections: With the addition of two new sections i.e. English and Aptitude, now there is a total of 5 sections for both engineering and biomedical students.
- Number of Questions: As the number of sections has increased, so does the number of questions. Now there are 125 questions in engineering and biomedical students instead of 105. The distribution of the number of questions in each section is as follow:-

SRMJEEE Marking Scheme
There have been some significant changes in the SRMJEEE 2021 marking scheme, as well as there are 2 new sections i.e. aptitude, and English, have been added for both B. Tech and biomedical examination. This even resulted in an increase in no. of questions too. All this information is summarized in the following table:-

SRMJEEE 2021 Exam day Instructions
Due to the second wave of Covid SRMJEEE, 2 Phase took place through Remote Proctored Online Mode (RPOM). In this candidate can give the exam from their home. The Important instruction for it are as follow:
- Candidates will be provided with a link to the SRMJEEE examination portal on the day of the examination.
- The candidate’s face should be clearly visible and there should be no background disturbance.
- The student is not allowed to leave the exam before the duration of 120 min.
- The candidates are required to download the safe exam browser from the link provided on the SRMJEEE official site.
- Only those candidates who have appeared for both the mock test before the examination are allowed to appear in the main examination.
