What Is SRMJEEE?

SRMJEEE is the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination. It is used for B.Tech and applicable integrated M.Tech admissions through the participating SRM institutions. SRMIST campuses, SRM University AP and SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat appear in the common admission information.

The common entrance process does not make all campuses or programmes identical. Eligibility, programme availability, tuition and scholarships can differ. Choose the exact campus and degree while comparing an option.

SRMJEEE 2027 Dates and Previous Phases

SRM has not announced the 2027 examination or application dates. The current application portal still identifies its form as 2026.

The 2026 cycle had three phases:

Each phase required a separate application and payment. Taking all three was optional. Counselling was also conducted separately for each phase.

SRMJEEE Eligibility

The following conditions are from 2026. The standard SRMIST route required a minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and one permitted third subject.

The third-subject list included Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics and specified Botany/Zoology combinations. An overall Class 12 percentage is not necessarily the required three-subject aggregate.

Applicants had to be at least 16 years and 6 months old on 31 July of the year their Class 12 board examination was held. The FAQ also allowed no more than a three-year gap after Class 12. NRI, PIO andOCI applicants used the international route.

The Biology-based exceptions apply to specified departments. A student admitted without Mathematics to those programmes had to take an additional 4-credit Mathematics course in the first year. They do not make the Biology route available for every engineering branch.

Application Form and Fees

The SRMJEEE application includes registration, email verification, personal and academic details, photo/signature uploads and payment. The 2026 fee was INR 1,400 per phase, non-refundable.

Applying for two phases therefore cost INR 2,800 in application fees; all three cost INR 4,200. These are sums of separate phase fees, before any later admission payment.

The registered email could not be changed. Campus/programme preferences in the form were statistical; the actual choices were made during counselling. A submitted application did not reserve a branch.

SRMJEEE Exam Pattern

The 2026 test had 130 questions for 130 marks in 150 minutes. The exam pattern included the following subject allocation:

Every correct answer earned one mark. Wrong and unanswered questions earned zero, with no negative marking. Mathematics/Biology was one 40-question option, not two separate 40-question sections.

English and Aptitude were allocated 20 questions together. The older 5-plus 10 split gives 125 questions and does not match the latest published 130-question paper.

Subjects and Preparation

Use the SRMJEEE syllabus for the complete unit list. The published subject totals do not establish a fixed question count for each chapter.

In Physics, keep units through calculations. In Chemistry, compare a reaction’s conditions before choosing a product. In Mathematics, check domains and constraints after solving. In Biology, practise distinctions between related processes rather than only isolated definitions.

Slot Booking, Hall Ticket and Remote Exam

After slot booking, students downloaded the SRMJEEE hall ticket and used the official mock before the main exam. The 2026 remote test required a desktop/laptop, webcam and microphone; phones and tablets were not allowed.

The Phase 1 manual asked students to log in 60 minutes early for candidate and photo-ID capture. Students had to sit alone in a quiet room, with the face visible and without notes, headphones or other websites.

Students could not return to answered or skipped questions. The submit control became available after 120 minutes, while the full test lasted 150 minutes. Practising a review-at-the-end strategy would not match those controls.

Rank, Counselling and Admission

The SRMJEEE result supplies the rank used for admission. Students then follow counselling for their phase, select programmes, check allocation and accept an offer. Eligibility and available seats also affect the allocation.

For 2026 Phase 1 Round 2, the initial amount was INR 1,10,000 for most listed campuses: INR 10,000 registration and INR 1,00,000 toward tuition. Sonepat used INR 1,15,000 because its registration component was INR 15,000. The registration component was non-refundable and non-transferable.

The Provisional Allotment Letter followed counselling payment. Balance tuition and enrolment remained separate requirements. A missed payment deadline could cancel the allocation.

Scholarships and Cutoff Ranks

The SRMJEEE cutoff guide distinguishes an admission closing rank from a scholarship threshold. For 2026 Phase 1, Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, NCR-Ghaziabad and Baburayanpettai used these scholarship bands:

The merit and rank-based percentages apply to tuition, with hostel, transport and other charges separate. Ramapuram, Tiruchirappalli and SRM AP had different bands or conditions. A scholarship band does not establish admission to CSE or another branch.
