ABV IIITM is inviting applications for Institute Post Doctoral Fellow (IPDF) Positions in multiple departments. Candidates can apply by filling out the application form and submitting it along with the required documents at the ABV IIITM campus before March 31, 2025 (5:00 PM).

IIITM Gwalior IPDF Eligibility

• Applicant must be an Indian national with a PhD or equivalent doctorate degree with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level in a relevant discipline.
• Candidates with a PhD Thesis submitted may also apply. However, if selected, must produce the PhD certificate before joining the PDF program.
• At least one degree from graduation onward or work experience on a regular pay scale/guest faculty should be from CFTIs (preferably, IISc/IITs/IIITs/NITs/IIMs/ISI/IISERs) or a foreign university with QS rank ≤500.
• The applicant should be at most 35 years of age at the time of submission of the application form and should apply within 5 years from the date of the award of a PhD degree.
• The applicant who completed a PhD from ABV-IIITM Gwalior can apply for the IPDF program after 1 year of completion of their PhD defense viva-voce approval date.
• Applicants must have at least 03 (three) publications in SCI/SSCI/SCIE indexed Q1 journals as per the latest JCR.
• The appointment of IPDF is for 2 yeaINR However, the offer will initially be made for one year and is extendable to a maximum of up to two years based on performance evaluation.

The fellowships provided by the Institute are based on the candidate’s experience as mentioned below:

Note: Based on the mentor's recommendation, each fellow is eligible for a yearly contingency grant of INR 30,000 to cover consumables, conference participation, publication fees, and other expenses, with unused funds being carried forward to the next year.

IIITM Gwalior IPDF Key Points

• The application form must be submitted along with the self-attested photocopies of relevant documents. Additionally, each page of the application form should be signed by the applicant.
• The envelope containing the application form and documents must be super-scribed with “Application for the Post of IPDF in the Name of Department”.
• There is no application fee for Institute Post Doctoral Fellow Position.
• Applications are invited in the following departments:

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Engineering Sciences
  • Management Studies.
• A separate application must be filled up if a candidate is applying for a position in more than one department.
• Selection will be based on Presentations and Interviews conducted by the Institute.
• All original documents and valid photo ID proof along with photocopies of the same will have to be produced at the time of the Technical Presentation and Interview.
• Candidates employed in Govt./Semi-Govt./PSU/other Govt. aided Autonomous bodies should send the application either through proper channel or should produce a No Objection Certificate at the start of the selection process.
