Who Can Apply for Phase 2?

Students who appeared for AP LAWCET 2026 and meet the admission rules can take part in this phase. The portal says the round is for first-year undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. The exact course and college options will depend on the candidate's rank, eligibility and the seats shown on the portal.

Applicants must satisfy the eligibility rules under the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the related Andhra Pradesh government orders. Students must also declare that they were not engaged in a job, service or other vocation during their law degree unless they have a valid No Objection Certificate. The portal also refers to the attendance rules under the BCI Rules of Legal Education, 2008.

Sports Category Priority List Objections

The CAP portal has uploaded a tentative priority or eligibility list for candidates applying under the Sports category. Candidates can open the AP LAWCET tentative list from the CAP portal and send objections to aplawcet.helpline@gmail.com by October 26, 2026, at 4 PM.

This list is marked tentative. Candidates should check their name and details before the objection deadline. An objection sent after the stated time may not be considered by the authority.

Important Warning About Two Colleges

The CAP notice says P S Raju Law College, Turangi, Kakinada, and Sri Gurrala Satyendra Krishna Memorial Law College, Rajahmundry, have been included in counselling because of interim directions of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The same notice says that these colleges currently do not have approval from the Bar Council of India or affiliation from an affiliating university.

Students should read this warning before placing either college in their choices. Check the latest approval and affiliation position on the official portal before accepting a seat.
