Eligibility Criteria For Joint PhD Programme

To be eligible for Joint PhD admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:-

  • Master's degree in respective discipline with 60% or CGPA 6.5 and GATE/NET score (Engineering), or equivalent qualifications in Medical, Nursing, Life Science, and Non-Life Science fields.
  • As per GoI norms, a relaxation of 5% (0.5 in CGPA) in the eligibility criteria will be applicable for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  • Candidates should have their own fellowship or sponsorship.
  • The candidates must have completed the requisite qualification and degree on or before the closing date of application.

Selection Procedure For Joint PhD Programme

The selection process will be based on a candidate's academic research profile and performance in the following assessments:-

  • Written Test (70% weightage):- A one-hour test consisting of 50 questions, with a maximum of 100 marks. The syllabus will be based on GATE/NET/CAT for the respective discipline.
  • Interview (30% weightage):- Candidates who qualify for the written test will be shortlisted for an interview to assess their research potential.
