Sambalpur University is inviting applications for PhD 2024 in multiple specializations. The online application will start on November 28, 2024, and candidates can apply through the Sambalpur University website by paying an application fee of INR 2000.

Sambalpur University PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent from any Indian or Foreign Institution with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• Candidates with a four-year Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent grade are eligible to apply.
• A relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent grade is provided for candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC-NCL / PwD / EWS categories.
• Candidates with JRF, whether obtained before or during 2024 are eligible.
• In-service candidates have to submit a No Objection Certificate from their employers.

Sambalpur University PhD Selection Process

• For students having valid JRF, the selection will be done based on personal interviews only.
• The candidates with JRF 2024 may also apply with their UGC-NET - 2024 score where both NET score (70%) and score in personal interview (30%) will be used for the selection criteria.
• For candidates without JRF, 70% of weightage will be given for the UGC-NET- 2024 score and 30% weightage for the interview for admission to PhD.
