My college Story

What I Liked

College is about over 49 acer have a well maintained building and enough faculty are present.
There are at a time over 1400 student share a same campus that is more peaceful where you meet new person and new friends

What I didn’t like

There are not present of a good canteen and not maintained properly cleaning over roadside
Due to over 1400 student the college always look crowded

Placement Experience:

There are many internship program are held in college and organised by our clg . Many of student are got intership through that programme and many more got placement direct to many company due to good education provided in college .

Remarks:

The cut-off usually average above 60 % student are also got seat for admission . There are subject wise exam are conducted by the faculty. Mock test are also conducted. There is higher cutoff of science stream than tha arts stream

Sambalpur University review

What I Liked

Faculty is great, everything about the classroom was also good.
Classrooms are good. Smart classes were held.

What I didn’t like

Not much campus life.
Washrooms are a big no.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teacher's qualification was great. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. Exams were conducted timely and the difficulty level was average. Course was completed as per time. And even if it was not completed they try to take extra classes to complete it.

Remarks:

No test required for admission. The factors include helpfulness of the teachers, students, staff including principal. The only examination required was 12 th and the you have to apply in sams and wait for the cut off marks to be uploaded.

What I Liked

The college campus is too good to me it gives good vibes

What I didn’t like

The college infrastructure is also too good but due to much more no of student it should be created more building for separate departments like geology department

Placement Experience:

The placement and job opportunity is also here the college also offer campus placement for those who great in study most no of student have clear IIT (JAM)the highest avarage package of this college is about 1.lac

Remarks:

The location and educational structure of college is good but the most disappointing part is the college should be have prepare a fully functioning playground for the students . I would like to join this college due to first I have applied on a autonomous college but distance is too far that’s why I wait for spot admission and prefer this college for studying

I love the life I lived here, but not the college.

What I Liked

The first thing that I like the most about this college is the location of the college, it is situated in a quite good place with awesome places to spend time in. You will definitely find the atmosphere to relive the kid in you. The faculties are really helpful and kind. Most of them help you with passing the exams by giving you selectives and giving you good life lessons. As I have also mentioned, many of the faculties do not hesitate referring students at different places for internships and Jobs. What I have liked the most is the compact size of the campus, almost everyone knows about everyone here and you won't have that kind of feeling of going into the strangers. Also the availability of PG and Private hostels is also a cherry on top. Overall the locality is quite much helpful, the non-teaching staff are very friendly and have a pure heart, for this one time, I had left my bike key in a classroom and the receptionist collected and kept it safely.
The integration of SUIIT with SU is just amazing, you can use the university resources like wifi, library and many more things free of cost. Also, you get certified from a NAAC A graded university. On top of that, the AICTE accreditation is a bliss. The alumni network although not better than any govt. colleges but also is pretty small and due to the compact nature is pretty strong. There is also a canteen in the university which is accessible to all and the food there is great in both quality and taste. The people working behind the college are real super humans, as the problems stated are resolved at the earliest and proper solution is provided most of the time. Some of the faculties are more qualified than required and also do manage their positions properly(positions like hostel superintendent etc.). The hostel problems are resolved faster than any and since the joining of new superintendent, it has become faster than speed of sound. Even smallest problems get fixed the same day.
All the resources needed to board hostel are available at walking distances and are quite accessible. The public transport issue has been permanently fixed after the introduction of "Mo Bus" scheme near the University. The area nearby is super safe for women and children. The conditions of the laboratories are amazing and unlike all other colleges I have been to, all the equipment here do work. The desktop systems provided are more than enough for learning and are free for the students to use for learning during college hours.

What I didn’t like

Starting, I would say the mess food and the hygiene. Mess food is not only bad in taste but also very unhygienic. In the night, the amount of food provided is just not enough for most of the students(5 chapattis and curry). The size of the chapatti is very small and almost of the curries are bad in taste. Then coming to the hygiene, the bathrooms and corridors although are cleaned but not everyday, but once every 2 to 3 days. In case of the college, the thing is opposite. The electricity is very unstable and almost everyday, we are facing issues nowadays. They don't even have a generator in the hostel or college. The college doesn't even have a proper building nor does it have a proper boundary. The whole college area is mostly plain land with bushes and nothing else. Another major problem is that VHR hostel is atleast 500 to 700 meters away from the college and the students have to commute the same daily that too, twice in order to attend classes because of the 75% attendance criteria
Although many of the faculties are amazing, but there are a few that are rude as hell and just try to get the worst out of everyone. Some of them are even sitting at the positions of the HOD and Examination cell in charge. Talking about an incident that happened with myself, I was not given marks in the semester examination in some questions despite of getting the right answer (hint: the paper was something like maths). And the faculty with arrogance gave me the reason that he doesn't know the method of solving the problem so 0 out of 10 marks was given to me. In the same case, people with wrong answers have got the step marking and passed with 30+ marks. Me and my friends also applied for the rechecking of copy but the faculty took it as a complaint and tried to demotivate us and even the verifying faculty was silent because the culprit was his/her senior/ HOD. I have even heard from the verifying teacher that my answer is correct but they can't do anything about it.
Many of the faculties here have a backward mindset and judge a lot. Although, it's pretty common in such small cities like Burla. Even though you can find almost any necessary things nearby, but they are just much expensive than normal and some of the shopkeepers are arrogant enough to sell things over the MRP range. Everyday, Finding something good to eat for breakfast is going to be hard for you because of the limited number of choices. The superintendent of MHR is too inconsiderate of the health and wellbeing of students. She doesn't even fix the issues quickly. And the hypocrisy is that the parents of the female students are not allowed inside the hostel but the male faculties at higher positions can enter and exit the hostel at any time. Once it happened that, out of blue, they asked us to pay another mess advance of 9000 rupees and even tried to force it upon us. There is not even a single playground for any outdoor sports or activity for the students.
Sanctioning payments here is like getting the Excalibur out of the stone. And the refunds for the caution money is just like a mirage, you can see it but never get it. I have been applying for the refund of caution money from my previous hostel where I stayed in the 1st year only and I am now a 4th year student and have not yet received my payment yet. They also have this weird fantasy for written complaints, no-matter whatever happens to you, you are bound to inform them through a written complaint or else, they are not going to fix the problem. In this college, if you have become senior, you are not human, recently, some of the 1st year students started disrespecting the seniors and upon confrontation, the college and hostel authorities jump in and try to save the juniors by saying, "they are just kids and don't know professionalism yet". Some of the faculties are just the kind that students even think, "How could someone like them even get a job, that too of a faculty?".

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario in this college is quite bad and the ROI is almost nothing. On top of that, they also have a CGPA criteria of 7.0 to attend the placements(although, it defers according to company's ask). In the previous year, the only placements were by Tata Power that too is rumored as references. The year before that however resulted with the hiring of many students in companies like capgemini, muvi, SVG, Qspiders, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, TCS etc. However, the highest package grabbed by any student on campus was 18 LPA and off campus was 23 LPA(I know him personally). Talking about the statistics of students getting placed, every year at most 20% students get placed in companies that too with an average package of 3.5 LPA. Talking about my plans, I want to pursue my dream of becoming an entrepreneur alongside I also want to join any work from home role suitable for me to get the income source to fund my business. Also, it will provide a stability to my financial situation.

Remarks:

In this area of the state, this college is not very famous or well known but is criticized for lower number of placements and also least quality of placements. I didn't get good scores(more than 70 percentile atleast for CSE and 65 percentile for EEE and ECE) in my JEE Mains exam and while the OJEE counselling, I applied for this college mistaking it for VSSUT's Self sustained branches. To get admission here, now you have to get good JEE Mains scores and apply for counselling through OJEE. There, you have to apply for different courses in different colleges and based on cut off system, the admission process takes place. Admissions happen in 3 phases and once you have applied make sure to check for the official websites of the colleges for the information related to admissions and also make sure to check the OJEE counselling dashboard. There is no Interview or GD round for the admissions however, they have their own exam for entry into other courses such as the Masters' degree.

Faculties are good, supportative and talented . Fees are too high .

What I Liked

Behaviour of the facilities are very good . They are cooperative and highly talented.
Infrastructure is overally good and campus life is enjoyable .

What I didn’t like

Due to over strictness in anti ragging Juniors don't even respect seniors .
Admission fee too high like private colleges .

Placement Experience:

To get a placement Academic prformance should be good . one must score more than 7 CGPA to seat in the placement cell. Attendence should be more than 75%. Companies like infosys , TCS , Accenture , Wipro are the recruiters of our college. They offer job like associate Software developer , cloud enginner etc highest package offered was 9 LPA . Average package was 3.5 LPA and lowest package was 2.5 LPA. 65% of student nearly get placed. My plan is to pursue Mtech in any IITS after getting degree.

Remarks:

We have tp pass JEE Mains with flying colours to take admission in this college. Cutoff was 75%ile for general but now it has become 80%ile for CSE students. JEE and OJEE exam are accepted in this college and admission is done in merit cum basis of these result . Good: Teachers are very supportive, cooperative and highly talented. it has an anti-ragging campus which helps the juniors to enjoy the freedom Infrastructure of the college is good and is well maintained. BAD: Behaviour of staff member is very dissapointing and one has wait hours to get a work to be done. Fees of the college too high near to private college .

What I Liked

Our teachers are very good wise nature and supportive.
Our college library is also very nice. I like it.

What I didn’t like

I don't like the hostel mess, room, campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because i wanna learn more and more about it. Our teachers are very nice wise nature and very supportive. It have 6 semester at 3 years. 2 semester per year. Semesters are not that difficult or not that easy.

Remarks:

There are a bunch of factors that might influence me choice of college! Like, maybe the programs they offer, the campus vibe, or even the location. Some people look for good financial aid options or scholarships ,while others might consider the reputation of the faculty or alumni success.

SUIIT , A TECHNICAL COLLEGE IN THE LINE OF IIIT

What I Liked

Campus Life is good. You can enjoy here starting from the 1st sem itself
Environment of the place i.e, Burla is good .

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure is average here. It can be better
Food provider of 1st year hostel is below average.

Placement Experience:

Placement here is the main issue. You have to prepare yourself on your own. Placement are really bad here. College will help in some scenarios but you have to crack placement in your own. In short , PLACEMENT scenario is below average. If you want , you can get good CGPA here that'll help in off campus placement.

Remarks:

Academically it's a good college. You can get admission here through JEE Mains and also through OJEE exam. You can apply in the OJEE counselling for this college. The college is normal not a happening college like other colleges.

SUIIT Review

What I Liked

Seniors are so supportive. Faculties are good.
Infrastructure is so small. Canteens are outside our campus.

What I didn’t like

The college is so small and hostel shortage.
Not any proper place for sports. And small auditorium.

Placement Experience:

We have placements but not as much you expected. You have to always do by yourself and apply for off campus placements. Also you have to apply for internships by yourself. But the main thing is the director's permission and you will get but you have to write an application and get the permission. The avg package is 4 LPA.

Remarks:

I have applied for this college through OJEE counselling and Jee mains was the exam I appeared.Cut off is not so high so you don't have to worry.You can also give ojee exam and took admission in this college also spot admission is possible.

What I Liked

The infrastructure is too good and traditional as compare to another university.
Faculty of these university is too friendly and supportive.

And mess is hell in these university hostel.

Placement is good and job opportunities is also at par, but when u r a dull and low student you may feel pressure to get selected or to find job because the number of people are more and jobs are less in these system

Remarks:

The college is the demanding college in all over odisha and highly reputed college all over odisha. The good aspect is that, the environment is too friendly and the bad aspect is that some are too bad persons also

Placement Experience:

There is not a single placement ...they are not so serious about inviting company to our college as they don't give proper finance to the company..they bring a company like a package of 2 3 lacks per annum that is not satisfying at all

Remarks:

I was selected by ojee cut off..after the result came out of Jee Main I applied to many colleges for cse btech..then this college was the last option that I selected..though I studied in this college... it's not a good college at all.
