CMR University revised the PhD Admission 2025 Schedule. Candidates can now apply online through the CMRU Banglore admission portal before February 15, 2025. Selection will be based on a PhD Entrance Test and Personal Interview conducted by CMR University.

CMR University PhD Eligibility
- Candidates must have a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade from any recognized Indian or Foreign Institution.
- Candidates having a 4 years Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent grade are eligible to apply.
- Candidates having an MPhil Degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade from any recognized Indian or Foreign Institution can apply.
- A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is provided to candidates belonging to the reserved category.
CMR University PhD Selection Process
- Admission is through an Entrance Test and Interview conducted by CMR University.
- The test syllabus includes 50% research methodology and 50% subject-specific content.
- Candidates qualified for UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR/NET/GATE/CEED and similar national-level tests are exempted from the Entrance Test.
- Students who score 50% or more in the Entrance Test are eligible for the interview.
- A relaxation of 5% marks is allowed in the entrance exam for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD, EWS, and other categories.
- CMR University will decide the number of eligible students to be called for the interview based on the available Ph.D. seats.
- The selection of candidates will be based on a weightage of 70% for the entrance test and 30% for the viva voce performance.
- The personal interview will consider the relevance of the proposed area of research, the candidate's competence for the proposed research, and the research work that can be undertaken at the respective school of studies.
