The test will be held between March 13, 2025, and April 1, 2025. The candidates are directed to strictly adhere to the guidelines in order to avoid any inconvenience during the examination process.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Admit Card & Verification:

  • Candidates need to download their admit cards from the official portal.
  • Aadhaar-based biometric verification will be performed at the test center.
  • In case a candidate's thumb impression does not match, an iris scan will be performed.
  • Those without Aadhaar will have to undergo verification using alternative modes.

Exam Day Guidelines:

  • Candidates are required to report on time according to reporting time indicated on the admit card.
  • Gate closing time is strict; no late entries will be allowed.
  • The test centers are CCTV monitored and provided with jammers to avoid malpractices.

Allowed & Prohibited Items:

  • Allowed Items: Clear water bottle, plain clear ballpoint pen, admit card, self-declaration form, original proof of identity, and one extra passport-size photograph.
  • Forbidden Items: Electronic gadgets, mobile phones, study material, calculators, and any other personal item.

Special Arrangements for PwD Candidates:

  • PwD candidates who need a scribe should have chosen the option in their application form.
  • Additional time of 20 minutes an hour will be provided to eligible candidates.
  • A government-sanctioned PwD certificate is a must for taking relaxation.

Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme:

  • There are 75 multiple-choice questions in each subject paper.
  • Duration: 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes).

Marking Scheme:

  • +4 marks for each correct response.
  • -1 mark for each wrong response.
  • No marks for not attempting a question.

Pre-exam Preparations:

  • The candidates should visit their exam centers beforehand to acquaint themselves with the location.
  • The time table of each subject has been made public on the website of NTA.
  • Candidates for more than one subject need to carry individual admit cards for respective exams.

Post-exam Procedure:

  • Rough sheets distributed inside the exam center need to be submitted to the invigilator prior to departure.
  • The registered email and SMS need to be checked on a regular basis by the candidates.
  • Multiple attempts by one candidate will lead to cancellation of candidature and may attract legal proceedings.
