DDU Gorakhpur University PhD Eligibility
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from a recognized Indian or Foreign University.
- Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme or equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from a foreign educational institution are eligible to apply.
- A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is provided to candidates belonging to the reserved category.
- For part-time Ph.D- Candidates must have at least five years of continuous service experience at a senior level in a recognized educational institution, Government State Government, Armed Forces, PSUs, or Corporations listed in BSE or NSE. Candidate must submit a certificate in this regard to the DRC.
- The University will obtain a No Objection Certificate from the candidate for a part-time Ph.D. programme from the appropriate authority in the organization.
DDU Gorakhpur University PhD Admission Process
- The selection is based on RET (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage).
- During the research presentation to the committee, candidates must show:
- They have the skills and knowledge needed to do their research.
- Their research work can be suitably undertaken at the University.
- Their research will add something new and valuable to what we already know.
- The Entrance Test will consist of 70 MCQs of 1 mark each.
- The selection of candidates for the part-time Ph.D. programme will be based on a separate test, 70% weightage will be given to a write-up of 1000 words submitted by the applicant and 30% weightage to the Work Experience, Academic Index, and performance in the interview.
