
NEET PG 2024 Entrance Examination was scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 23. However, the Ministry of Health announced late in the evening of June 22, the postponement of NEET PG 2024 exam. As there is already an ongoing descent over irregularities in exam conduction by NTA, this sudden decision, sparked further unrest among the students.
NBEMS, the exam conducting body, cited this decision by the Ministry of Health as a precautionary measure. The notice read, “This decision has been taken by the Government in the best interests of the students and to maintain the sanctity of the examination process.”
Although no official revised NEET PG 2024 date has been announced by the authorities, all the candidates who had registered for the test have been asked to keep a tab on the further developments at the official website.
NEET PG entrance exam serves as a gateway for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses across the medical universities and colleges of India. As most aspirants looked forward to the exam on June 23, the unexpected announcement to postpone the exam just a day before sent many into a spiral of uncertainty and financial burden.
NEET PG was the fourth exam to be affected following irregularities in NEET UG 2024. A high quality probe is underway to discover attempts of paper leak. Moreover, UGC NET was cancelled right after its conduction on June 18 as papers of it were previously leaked on darknet. This was followed by the postponement of CSIR UGC NET by the authorities to maintain the integrity of the exam.
