NEET PG Counseling 2024: Conversion of Nationality from Indian to NRI for Round 3

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released an essential notification for participants at NEET PG Counseling 2024. Those seeking to change their nationality from Indian to NRI for Round 3 must strictly follow deadlines and document requirements.

This process is governed by the guidelines of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in W.P. (C) No. 689/2017. The decision allows candidates meeting specific criteria to claim NRI status for MD/MS/Diploma seat counseling.

Important Dates for Submission

Start of Submission 9th January 2025, 6:00 PM
Deadline for Submission 11th January 2025, 10:00 AM

Note: Emails sent outside this timeframe will not be considered.

Eligibility Criteria for NRI Conversion

Candidates who want to change their status must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. The sponsor must be an NRI.
  2. Sponsor must provide an affidavit to sponsor the entire course fee.
  3. All documents must be presented as required by the MCC notification.

List of Required Documents

Applicants need to submit the following documents in one email to nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com:

Document Details
NRI Sponsorer’s Passport and Visa Proof of NRI status.
Relationship Proof Evidence of the relationship between the candidate and the NRI sponsor.
Sponsorship Affidavit Notarized affidavit guaranteeing sponsorship for the full course fee.
Embassy Certificate Issued within six months, verifying the sponsor's NRI status.
NEET PG 2024 Score Card Proof of qualification for NEET PG Counseling 2024.
Family Tree Document Notarized by a Tehsildar to establish the familial relationship.

Important Note:

  • Those whose documents have been submitted previously do not need resubmission, 31st December 2024, 12:00 PM – 1st January 2025, 12:00 PM.
  • English translations should be affixed along with all regional language certificates.

Provisional Conversion

The NRI conversion is considered provisional. It is subject to further verification by the college authorities and the Ministry of External Affairs.
