GPAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for GPAT 2025 should fulfill the below eligibility criteria:
- Nationality: Should be an Indian.
- Educational Qualification: A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) from a reputable institution.
- Final Year Students: Candidates in the final year of BPharm with pending results are also eligible.
- 10+2 Qualification: Compulsory for every candidate.
What is the GPAT Exam?
GPAT stands for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test. It is a national entrance test held in India for admission to pharmacy programs. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences conducts the test on behalf of the All-India Council for Technical Education. Candidate’s understanding of pharmaceutical sciences and how they apply it to pharmacy are evaluated. Several universities and associated colleges in India accept the results of the GPAT 2025 for admission to their postgraduate pharmacy programs.
GPAT 2025 is an online, Computer-Based Test. You have to answer 125 questions in 3 hours, according to the GPAT exam pattern. The GPAT question paper is divided into five sections – Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Allied Subjects, Pharmaceutics & Allied Subjects, Pharmacognosy & Allied Subjects, Pharmacology & Allied Subjects, and other subjects of B.Pharm course. There is a sectional time limit of 36 minutes. The total marks in GPAT 2025 is 500. You score 4 marks for every correct answer. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.
