Indira Gandhi National Open University released the shortlisted candidates list for PhD Admission 2025. Shortlisted candidates must appear for the PhD Interview on January 28, 2025 (9:30 AM) at the IGNOU campus.

IGNOU PhD Admission Key Points

• For Category-A candidates, interview carries 100% weightage. For Category-B candidates, interview weightage is 30% with 70% weightage given to NET score.
• Interview evaluation will be based on three parameters:
  • Research Methodology (40% weightage)
  • Subject-specific knowledge (40% weightage)
  • Communication skills (20% weightage).
• Candidates must submit 5 copies of their Research Proposal focused on a problem related to Distance Education discipline.
• Selected candidates must complete a six-month compulsory course work at STRIDE/SOE, IGNOU, New Delhi in face-to-face mode.

Documents Required for IGNOU PhD Admission

Candidates must bring the below-listed original documents along with one set if self-attested copies of the same at the time of interview for document verification:

• Government-issued identity proof
• Online Application form (duly filled)
• 10th/SSC Certificate as proof of Date of Birth
• Graduation and Post-Graduation Marks sheets and Degree certificates
• Category A: Valid UGC NET with Fellowship (JRF) certificate & score-card
• Category B: Valid UGC NET without Fellowship certificate & score-card
• SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD/EWS certificates (if applicable)
• NOC from employer (if applicable)
• Three recent passport-size photographs
