Indian Institute of Information Technology Manipur is inviting applications for PhD Admission 2024. Candidates can fill out the application form before January 10, 2025 (6:00 PM). Selection will be based on a PhD Entrance test and Personal Interview.

IIIT Manipur PhD Eligibility
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% of marks both in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
- Candidates having a Four-year Bachelor’s degree in in a relevant area with a minimum CGPA/CPI of 7.5 or 70% marks are eligible.
- Candidates must have a master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant area with a minimum 65 % marks or equivalent grade both in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees for PhD in ECE & CSE.
- Candidates with a Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in a relevant area with a minimum of 80 %marks or equivalent are eligible for PhD ECE & CSE.
- A 5% relaxation of marks or equivalent grade is provided in the case of SC/ST candidates.
IIIT Manipur PhD Selection Process
- Selection will be made based on academic record, the relevance of qualification, the candidate’s research interest, and the performance of the candidate in the PhD entrance examination and interview conducted by IIIT Manipur.
- The entrance exam will be based on the GATE 2025 syllabus for Science & Engineering disciplines & NET 2025 syllabus for the English discipline.
- Valid GATE/NET-qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance examination however, they have to appear for an interview.

The PhD Programme fee is as follows:

Documents Required for IIIT Manipur PhD Admission
Candidates are required to apply by filling up the application form and sending it electronically to academic@iiitmanipur.ac.in as per the schedule along with the below-listed documents:
- Class 10th Certificate and Marksheet
- Class 12th Certificate and Marksheets
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Certificate and Marksheets
- Provisional certificate / Degree Certificate and Marks Memos of the qualifying Examinations
- GATE/NET/SLET score card
- Summary of a research project conducted during the PG (or UG) programme, not exceeding one page
- Proof of research publications if any
- Self-attested copy of the reserved category certificate (if applicable)
- No Objection certificate from the present employer (if employed).
