JIPMER Pondicherry PhD Eligibility
- Candidates must have a Master’s or MD Degree with at least 60% aggregate marks.
- Candidates, who are likely to complete the requisite degree by January 31, 2025, can also apply.
- Candidates with a Master’s degree through a distance-learning course are not eligible.
- A relaxation of 5% marks is provided to candidates belonging to the reserved category.
- The candidates should have qualified in any of the National entrance tests in the last 2 years.
- Candidates with NET (Lectureship) qualified under DBT /DST/ ICMR / UGC are not eligible to apply.
- Selection will be based on an Interview conducted by JIPMER.
- At the time of joining or during the PhD course period, the candidates should not be pursuing full-time or part-time courses or holding any regular or contract job.
- Candidates working in a Government (Union/State/Autonomous) organization, if selected, should submit a “No Objection Certificate” at the time of admission.
