Kerala Agricultural University invites applications for PhD programs in Agriculture, Horticulture, Community Science, Forestry, and Agricultural Engineering for the 2024-25 academic year. The online portal will accept applications from January 1, 2025 (6:00 PM) to January 10, 2025 (11:59 PM). The application fee is INR 1500.

Eligibility Criteria For KAU PhD Admission

To be eligible for the PhD admission at KAU, the candidates must fulfil the following criteria:-

  • Candidates must possess a Master's degree in relevant discipline from KAU or equivalent, with OGPA requirements of 7.0/10.0 (general) or 6.5/10.0 (SC/ST).
  • Basic degree requirements include Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or Forestry, with exceptions for Home Science and Rural Marketing Management.
  • For PhD in Animal Science, applicants need M.V.Sc. or Master's in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry/Fisheries, or Life Science Master's with minimum 55% marks/equivalent OGPA.

Selection Process For PhD Admission

  • The PhD selection process at KAU involves the ICAR SRF Entrance Examination or the KAU Entrance Examination, followed by an interview.
