The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has made available guidelines for document verification post-submission of the KCET 2025 application. The notice was put out on February 13, 2025, to alert candidates and parents regarding the procedure.

KCET Document Verification

Candidates experiencing problems with regard to the UGCET-2025 application can now contact KEA by email at keacet2025@gmail.com. The previous email ID (keaugcet2025@gmail.com) is not operational owing to technical issues.

KCET 2025 Document Verification Guidelines

The document verification guidelines have been issued in both English and Kannada. Candidates can download the official PDF from the KEA website.

Important Instructions for Candidates & Parents

Verification by College Principals:

  • Principals of respective colleges will put "OK" in their KEA login on verification based on documents provided.
  • Any candidate caught submitting forged or counterfeit documents will be criminally prosecuted and debarred from the counseling process.

Verification Process for Clause Code 'A' Candidates:

  • The candidates who studied 07 years in Karnataka, verified through SATS, will receive a Claim Certificate and do not have to go to any verification center.
  • Applicants who have studied 10 years (from 1st to 10th standard) and have asserted Kannada Medium, Rural, Religious, or Linguistic reservation will receive a certificate as:
  • "Claimed Verified"
  • "Claimed Not Verified"
  • "Not Claimed"
  • Such applicants should go to the nearest Government PU College along with original and Xerox copies of necessary documents for verification.

Verification for Other Clause Codes

  • Candidates submitting under Clause codes 'B', 'C', 'D', 'T', 'J', 'K', 'L', 'M', 'N' will be posted separately on the KEA website schedule.
  • Candidates submitting under Clause codes 'E', 'F', 'G', 'H', 'O' shall be cross-checked at their PUC/12th Std. College.
  • Defense, Ex-Defense, CAPF, and Ex-CAPF documents are cross-checked separately in KEA centers.

Online Verification for Caste & Income Certificates:

  • 371(j) Certificate, Caste, and Caste-Income Certificate RD numbers are cross-checked online.
  • Applicants must verify the authenticity of these certificates and fill in RD numbers properly in the application form.
