Three timed sections were introduced in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Super Specialty (NEET-SS) 2024 exam by NBEMS. The NEET SS question paper has three sections, namely Sections A, B, and C, each carrying 50 questions.

With the new change in the format in NEET SS 2024, now candidates have to solve each section within the allotted time limit. The information regarding the compulsory timed sections was officially announced by the exam authority on its official website. The details are given below:

The provision of time bound mandate will be applicable for all computer based examinations conducted by NBEMS. NEET-PG, NEET-MDS, NEET-SS, FET, GPAT, DPEE, FMGE and DNB-PDCET examinations are conducted annually by NBEMS.

In the current scenario, the examination authorities as well as students appearing for any competitive exam face the challenge of paper leak every other day. Hence, this step has been taken to enhance the security measures and integrity of the examination process.

The introduction of mandatory timed sections was mentioned in the notice released by NBEMS on its official website on May 04, 2024.

Important Changes in Examination Pattern

With the introduction of mandatory three timed sections in the NEET SS 2024 exam, candidates will notice some important changes in the NEET-SS 2024 exam pattern.

Separate Time Limit:

The question paper of NEET-SS 2024 will now be divided into three sections- Section A, Section B and Section C. Each section will have 50 questions and the time allotted for each section will be 50 minutes.

No Revisiting Time:

Candidates are advised to solve all the questions within a certain time limit as they will not be allowed to attempt the questions again after that. This is a big challenge that candidates appearing for the NEET-SS exam must be familiar with.

Demo Test:

NBEMS has made the demo test available on its official website natboard.edu.in. Candidates can take the test from March 20, 2025 under the NEET-SS 2024 Application Link page. Candidates are advised to thoroughly understand the new format of NEET-SS 2024 and other exams conducted by NBEMS and adapt themselves accordingly.
