The NEET 2025 exam concludes at 5 PM, marking the end of the three-hour test duration. At this point, candidates must stop writing immediately and hand over both their question booklet and OMR sheet to the invigilator. Strict guidelines will be enforced during this process to ensure smooth and fair conduct.

The total duration of the NEET 2025 exam is three hours. Extra time will not be granted to candidates unless there is a delay caused by exam centre mismanagement or if the candidate belongs to the PwD or PwBD category.

For the sake of secutity, NTA will keep each and every exam centre and hall under CCTV surveillance and jammers would also be installed.

To ensure maximum security and a smooth NEET 2025 exam day experience, the NTA has designated exam centres exclusively in government, semi-government, and government-aided schools or institutes.

The NEET UG 2025 examination has begun. It will end at 5 PM.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall after 1:30 PM.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed all preparations for the safe and secure conduct of NEET UG 2025 on May 4 across 5453 centres in India and 13 cities abroad, while cautioning candidates against misinformation, fake social media claims, and malpractice attempts.

For male candidates appearing for NEET 2025, NTA has stated the following guidelines regarding dress code:

• According to the dress code of NEET for male aspirants, long or full-sleeve shirts/t-shirts are not allowed
• Clothes should be simple and should not have zips, pockets, huge buttons, etc.
• Male aspirants can wear simple trousers/pants without pockets
• Layers of clothing and kurta pyjamas should also be avoided
• Shoes, boots, or any covered footwear are not allowed. Candidates are advised to wear slippers or open-toed sandals

Female candidates must adhere to the following dress code guidelines on the day of the NEET 2025 exam:

• Half-sleeved t-shirts, shirts, or kurtas are recommended, similar to the dress code for male candidates.

• Long-sleeved or fancy-sleeved attire is prohibited.

• Clothing should be simple, without excessive embroidery, buttons, frills, or other embellishments.

• Wearing metallic or non-metallic jewellery is not allowed.

• Open sandals or slippers are permitted, but closed shoes are not allowed. Low heels or slippers are acceptable.

• Each correct answer will be awarded four marks
• One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
• No mark will be deducted for the questions which have not been answered
• Questions that have two or more responses marked on the OMR sheet will be considered incorrect, and one mark will be deducted from them

To avoid last-minute hassle or confusion related to reaching the NEET 2025 exam centre, candidates must visit the centre a day before the exam, i.e. today. They should check the total duration taken, mode of transport to avail, nearby location and facilities, etc. 

Candidates appearing for NEET 2025 are advised to wear open footwear such as slippers or plain sandals, as closed shoes are not permitted. Female candidates may wear low-heeled sandals, but should avoid footwear with buckles, designs, or embellishments.
