Presidency University PhD Eligibility

• Candidates must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent grade is allowed for those belonging to the SC/ST Person with Disability (PwD) category.
• UGC or UGC-CSIR NET qualified with a valid NET certificate candidates preferred.

Presidency University PhD Selection Criteria

• All applicants must submit a research proposal of 500 words.
• Department/School/Institute will shortlist candidates based on:
• Research proposals
• Academic criteria
• Guide availability in proposed research areas
• Shortlisted candidates must appear for a test and/or interview
• Candidates will discuss their research interests during the interview.
• The list of qualified candidates will be published on the university's official website.
