Silver Oak University is inviting applications for PhD Admission. Candidates can apply online through the Silver Oak University Google form or by submitting the filled-in application form offline along with the DD of the application fee. Selection will be based on the PhD Entrance Test and Research Proposal Presentation conducted by the university

Silver Oak University PhD Eligibility

• Candidates must have a Master's degree or equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from any Indian or foreign educational Institution.
• Candidates possessing a Postgraduate Diploma in Management with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade have to submit an institutional certificate stating that their PGDM has been equated with an MBA Degree for the purpose of admission to a higher Degree.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent grade, is allowed for those belonging to the reserved category.
• Full-time teachers of Universities/Colleges affiliated with the University or any working employee of an institution of higher learning in Gujarat. Full-time persons working in Gujarat at R&D Departments/National Laboratories/Units of Government/Quasi Government or any other research laboratories are eligible to apply under Part-Time Ph.D. Programme.
• Part-time PhD candidates must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ on the letterhead duly signed by the appropriate authority of the employer organization clearly stating the following-
  • The candidate is permitted to pursue studies on a Part-Time basis
  • That their official duties permit them to devote sufficient time to research.
  • They will be fully relieved from duty as and when required by the University.

Silver Oak University PhD Admission Process

• The admission process consists of an entrance test and presentation conducted by Silver Oak University.
• The PhD entrance examination comprises two one-hour papers each containing 50 MCQs of one mark each, with no negative marking for wrong answers.:
  • Paper-I: Research Methodology and
  • Paper II: Subject Specific
• The results of the Entrance Test and Research proposal presentation will be valid for one year only.
• Candidates with any one of the following qualifications are exempted from appearing in the Entrance Test:
  • UGC-NET(including JRF)
  • UGC-CSIR NET(including JRF)
  • SLET
  • GATE
  • Foreign Scholars who apply through the Ministries of Government of India or under a Cultural Exchange Scholarship Programme of the Government of India.
  • Teacher fellowship holder
  • Passed M.Phil. programme

• The PhD selection committee evaluates candidates based on three essential criteria:
  • Their demonstrated competence and readiness for the proposed research
  • The institution's capacity to support and facilitate the research project
  • The research proposal's potential to generate new insights or expand existing knowledge.
