SRM Institute of Science and Technology is inviting applications for PhD Admission 2025. Candidates can apply online through the SRMIST Admission Portal. Selection will be based on the Entrance Test and Personal Interview conducted by SRM University.

SRMIST PhD Eligibility

• Candidates must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from any Indian or Foreign Institution.
• Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Coursework with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade is eligible to proceed to do research work leading to a PhD degree in the same Institution.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for those belonging to the reserved category.

SRMIST PhD Stipend

• All full-time PhD scholars will be paid INR 25,000 per month for a maximum period of 3 years.
• Candidates who have qualified in UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/GATE/GPAT will be paid INR 31,000 per month for a maximum period of 3 years.
• Each year after provisional registration, student’s eligibility for the stipend will depend on their research progress during the previous year of their PhD programme.
