The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, has officially started the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2025 registration process on May 7, 2025. The registration portal was inaugurated by the State Higher Education Minister, Govi Chezhiaan, and students are now able to apply for B.E/B.Tech and B.Arch courses on the official portal: tneaonline.org. The application is to be submitted by June 6, 2025.

TNEA 2025 Admission Process
TNEA 2025 admissions will be strictly based on Class 12 merit and there will be no entrance examination. There are about two lakh seats available for engineering this year. The entire admission process - registration, payment, choice filling, seat allotment, and confirmation - will be online.
After successful registration, students will be allotted a random number on June 11, 2025. The number is important in the counseling process, as it helps to maintain transparency while allotting seats.

Updated Portal Information

The Counselling Dates will be announced after the AICTE Academic Calendar 2025 is released. Candidates are advised to complete the registration process before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
