Vishwakarma University is inviting applications for PhD Admission in multiple specializations. The application process for VUPET will begin from February 14, 2025. Candidates can apply online through the VU Admission Portal. Selection will be based on VUPET and Personal Interview conducted by Vishwakarma University.

Vishwakarma University PhD Eligibility

  • Candidates must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent from any Indian or Foreign Institution, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
  • Candidates having a 4-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade are eligible.
  • A 5% relaxation of marks is provided to candidates belonging to the SC / ST / OBC-NCL / PwD / EWS category.
  • Applicants completing their Master's Degree in 2025 can apply for Ph.D. admission, subject to submitting their Master's Degree result on or before July 30, 2025.
  • Applicants who have qualified for fellowship in UGC-NET/UGC- CSIR NET/GATE/CEED and similar National level tests are exempted from VUPET after verification.
  • Interview is mandatory for all candidates including the candidates exempted from VUPET.

VUPET Details

The Vishwakarma University PhD Entrance Test consists of 2 papers:

  • Paper I will consist of 50 MCQs of 1 mark each, for a total of 2 hours duration consisting of research methodology, logical reasoning, numerical ability, language skills, etc.
  • The minimum passing mark in Paper I is 50% for all applicants.
  • The result of Paper-I will be displayed one hour after the Paper-I exam.
  • Only those applicants qualifying the Paper I will be eligible to appear for Paper II.
  • Paper II will be a subjective type 50-mark exam for a total of 2 hours duration.
  • The passing percentage for Paper II is 50% for all candidates.
  • Candidates who score more than 50% marks in both papers are eligible to appear for an interview.
  • A relaxation of 5 % marks will be allowed in the entrance examination for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PwD/ EWS category.
