JC Bose University formally known as YMCA UST Faridabad is inviting applications for PhD Admissions 2024. Candidates can apply online through the University’s admission portal. The selection will be based on the Personal Interviews conducted by YMCA Faridabad.

YMCA Faridabad PhD Eligibility

• Candidates must have a master’s degree or equivalent from any Indian or foreign institution with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/PwD and for those who had obtained their Master's degree before September 19, 1991.
• Candidates possessing a Degree from a Foreign Educational Institution which is considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, are eligible for admission to PhD programme.
• Candidates in their final year of the Master’s degree may also appear in the admission process. But they must submit proof of having passed the examination on the pre-designated date before admission to the Pre-Ph.D. course.
• Candidates provisionally registered for PhD are required to attend classes for one semester for a Pre-Ph.D. course.
• Applicants with a valid score in GATE/UGC/ NET/CSIR(JRF)/SLET/ passed regular M.Phil. Programmes in the related discipline are eligible.

YMCA Faridabad PhD Fees and Scholarship Details

• Candidates are required to submit a Demand draft of INR 25,000 at the time of admission in favour of “Registrar, J.C. Bose UST, Faridabad” payable at Faridabad.
• Four University Research Scholarships (URS) of INR 25000 each will be awarded as per the rules of the University.
• One MOB research fellowship (MRF) of INR 31,000 along with the House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be awarded to the engineering stream students only as per the rules of the University.
• IOCL and ADF Scholarships are also awarded to deserving PhD Scholars.
• The merit list for admission and allotment of scholarships will be prepared based on
  • 70% marks of NET/GATE/other National Level Tests
  • 30% marks based on performance in the interview/viva voce to be conducted by the respective department.
