Remarks :
The course is affordable.The Admission is done through Common entrance exam every year. The expected cut off varies every year with the difficulty level. NCERT book is enough to secure a good rank in the exams
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties are experienced and skilled. There are two or three internal exams along with quizzes and labs for internal evaluation. Assignments are given for self evaluation. Presentation of internships are conducted in every odd sem finals.
Internships Opportunities :
There are 3 internships and 2 projects in our course curriculum. The internships are chosen by us. The respective HoD of their own department has to be informed then college forwards the request to the desiring institutions or the companies.
Placement Experience :
TPC is very active. It maintains a cordial relationship with the psu such as OIL and ONGC and various corporate companies. If no campus placement one can go for off campus psu through gate scores. Mtech is a nice option which is akso provided here. One can also opt for civil or engineering service exams.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
It is a 4years course. 2semester per year. Admission fees in each sem 5k and examination registration 2k-3k approx. Various scholarships Ishan uday(78k per year) pragati(50k per year) and ONGC scholarships for reserved quotas
Campus Life :
College organises a technical and cultural fest called PHOENIX every year in the month of apr/may. There is a central Library and department libraries. The central Library is the new one. Sports week are conducted every year along with interhostel tournaments, There are various clubs to showcase the talent such as dance art drama photography civil service anime society social work etc.
Hostel Facilities :
There are 8boys and 2girls hostel. The fees for the girls hostel varies from ?1800-?2500 and for boys hostel it doesn't exceeds 3k.The quality of food is not so good but the hostels are pretty affordable, There are many well maintained pg and rooms near the campus at a walk in distance.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
