- The faculty in our college is very interactive with the students and also they help students in any academic problem
- The library of this college is very good there are all the books required for academic excellence and also free wifi is provided for the students.
Dislikes
- The teacher in our college is less than required. The teacher student ratio is 60:1
- The classroom of the is not much good the blackboard is also not good.
Remarks :
Admission to this college is done through the CEE Examination conducted by ASTU once a year. The faculty of this college is very good they are very interactive with the students, they help us very much with our academic problems.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course while studying this will make me physically and mentally fit for any kind of job and this will make me disciplined. During one semester which is 6 months, there are 2 class tests and one end-term examination. There is no fee hike policy that the fee of the college is constant.
Internships Opportunities :
Many offer internships for our college students. There are 2 internships and one project during the four-year course first internship is done during 3rd semester and is called a social internship and the second internship is called an industrial internship and is done during 5th semester and the last project is done during 7th semester.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for sitting in campus placement are you should not have any backlog and you should be in the 7th semester. There are many companies they visit in our college. The highest package is 27 lakhs and the average package is 8 lakhs. 70 percent of students are placed every year.
Campus Life :
The cultural fest conducted in our college is called PHOENIX and it is done during the of February and March. All the books required for our academic are available in our library. There are many clubs in our college photography club FOTOCRAFT, singing club, literature club, and so on.
Hostel Facilities :
The process of registering for college is done during admission. The food quality is also good and there different items every day. It is better to choose a hostel rather than a PG because teaches you very important things in your life.

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
