- The infrastructure is modern and newer modalities like robotic surgery and telemedicine has been introduced for better functioning and providing better facilities to the patients and good learning opportunities to students as well
- It is ranked 14 in medical colleges in india as it provides healthy environment clean rooms for accomodation and the students also have a student body for ug and resident doctors association for pgs. And the fees is negligible as compared to state colleges.
Dislikes
- The administration is not student friendly and is rigid in terms of maintaining discipline and does not tolerate any kind of nuisance which is good in terms of running an institution.
- This is for the girls. Boys hostel do not have any in or out time but the girls should reach their hostel by midnight. If you want to take a night out from hostel you will have to fill a leave form and warden will talk to your parents and then the leave will be granted this is not the same with boys they can go wherever they want and they are not time bound unlikne girls.
Remarks :
When i gave my ug exam there was separate exam for central institute like AIIMS so i got 1620 rank and 382 in obc catagory and i got aiims rishikesh in my third counselling. The admission process is simple you have to enroll in the counselling part when you will be qualified and according to your rank you can get this college. Nowadays admission in central institutes is through neet ug only there is no separate exam for that. So the student that gets a rank under 1000 general category can get this college. There is no separate admission criteria for this college , students get selected through neet ug. And overall it is one of the best institute from where you can persue your MBBS.
Course Curriculum Overview :
AIIMS Rishikesh follows the guidelines and curriculum which is provided by NMC. When I used to appear for my professional exams it was MCQ pattern but now there is 50% mcqs and 50%subjective paper for prof exam so the pattern for newer batches has been revised. The faculty here is student friendly and if you have doubts about anything you can take appointment and go to their office directly and talk to them. Talking about the academics. Teachers try to make classes more interesting by making ppts and other interactive methods and opportunities are given to students as well.. there was also a concept of flip class where students use to give lectures under faculty guidance and learn how to brush up your confidence as well.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship offered by aiims rishikesh is mandatory and you have to do it otherwise you will not be allowed to register for your medical registration and it is important to complete internship of one year to get your degree and persue post graduation afterwards
Placement Experience :
The college provide one year mandatory internship. Which is necessary for permanent medical registration. And for that the college offers stipend of 30k and when internship is completed we have to get our permanent registration from the state medical council and for post graduation first we have to get a good rank in neet pg/next exam. Aiims rishikesh PG course is vast and the seats are allotted according to the rank which you have achieved and the salary is also more as compared to state colleges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Neet ug aspirants get admission into this college by giving the neet ug entrance exam. This is a central institute so the fee that you have to pay during your admission is approx 5.5k for the whole course of 5.5 years. There is extra fee of rupees 500/subject every time you appear for professional exam. Hostel fee is included in it, there are no scholarship programmes, No tuition fee, nothing extra.. you just have to pay approx 5.5 to 6k during your admission which will include registration fee admission fee, lab fee etc. There is student mess available and you will have to pay the monthly bill of the food that you eat.
Campus Life :
One of the reason i chose AIIMS Rishikesh was the view and the beautiful ganga that flows nearby the nature that surrounds this college is beyond imagination and I can't express it in words. Talking about infrastructure it has all the newer facilities, the institution has central AC and has a modern infrastructure. The classrooms are well furnished and comfortable for you to study The library is well equipped and well maintained with all the latest editions of medical journals and books. There is a separate reading room too where you can study and is open 24x7x365 days. Talking about sports there is an intra college fest called invicta in the month of may/june.it is basically a sports fest where you can participate in various sports and for other co curricular activities, and an inter college fest called pyrexia which is basically for 5-6 days, in the month of September or october. There are various clubs like literary clubs quiz clubs etc where you can participate as well..
Hostel Facilities :
Major reason for me to opt for this college is the hostel. The hostel's infrastructure is modern and have separate bathrooms attached to it in girls hostel for boys the bathroom is common. For first year you will get single room with double accommodation but from second year you will get your own single room which is spacious and well furnished and has all the basic amenities There is a common mess for both boys and girls. The mess is supervised by students so the menu is also flexible. Every month the menu is changed and you get four meals a day and the food is also of very good quality as it is supervised by student body. You will have to pay the monthly bill of mess which comes approx 6-7k if you take all four meals if you wish you can cancel any meal if you have plans to go outside or anything you can cancel your meal as well and the bill will come accordingly.

Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
