Better than other colleges in terms of exposure, equipments, clinical aspects as well as research opportunities, moreover it is centrally funded which serves as a benefit in the long run. Only bad aspect maybe lesser patient load than other top state colleges. Admission process: through NEET-UG exam. Possibly try to get a rank under 700 to grab a seat (open). Preparation is usually by conventional methods like 2 years of pre medical coachings via institutes like aakash>allen.
Course- MBBS Chose this course primarily due to interest in joining healthcare. Qualification of faculty: The faculty is top notch, being alumni from premier medical colleges like other AIIMS or PGIMER, JIPMER etc. they have several research papers to their name and have completed their SRship from renowned colleges. Teaching method followed is clinical based which values practical knowledge more. Classes are held in conventional PPT way in the lecture theater. 1 hr of lectures usually. I think this method suits well mostly for most faculties as its the most efficient way to deliver theoretical knowledge. Moreover many professors use interactive videos and demonstrations in their slides to further elaborate and deliver their concepts. Term exams are held timely with appropriate preparatory leaves preceding them. Difficulty level varies but is never too hard or too easy. The concepts tested are relevant and the exams are easy to pass with moderate amount of preparation beforehand.
Internship is compulsory in MBBS after 4.5 years of course and lasts for 1 year involving rotations in all the departments to enhance practical exposure. Internship life is much balanced having ample opportunities to learn medicine as well as continue pursuing your hobbies post work.
Being MBBS no placement is offered. As a degree MBBS alone is not very useful however post speciality it can offer the most valuable and stable lifestyle. A doctor's worth is more than other professionals and is required in all communities.
There is no yearly tution fees. It's only a one time payment of ?12,450 at the time of admission. Hostel fees is zero. There is only mess fees which differs with everyone but is approximately an average of 4,000 per month. Except that no extra fees.
Life at campus is relaxed in terms of environment, scenic beauty and city life while much involved in terms of fests and competitions. MBBS community is much closely knit with healthy interactions with junior and senior students which make it feel much like a family. Social clubs are present for majority hobbies like music, dancing, literature etc. to enhance our skills or even develop them from the ground level. Entry into clubs is easy and based on personal interest. Being a centrally funded institute. The infrastructure is top class, being regularly maintained and upgraded. The annual fest is called Pyrexia which is an inter college fest and one of the biggest and best fests amongst medical colleges. It is usually conducted in September-October. Books, whether medical or non medical are all available in the library. Sports fest is conducted yearly under the name "Invicta". The student association is called as ARSWA which manages all clubs and student activies.
Hostel are of good quality. The size of rooms might be small for some but they are sustainable and one can live in them easily. 1st years get double shared rooms, which get upgraded to bigger double shared rooms in a different hostel in 2nd year followed by single rooms in the following years. There is ?0 hostel fees. The Mess is present separately from the hostel and is common for both boys and girls. The food quality is much better than mess of other colleges and is owned by a third party. The mess menu and functioning is dictated to some extent by our student body and we can change the menu to our liking whenever we want. Average cost is 4k monthly. If one does not want hostel, there are plenty of PGs at walking distance.

Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
