CU was the last option as there was no other college that were in budget in less scores, it had a direct entry also online scholarship entrance test, there were no cut-off kr interview involved, unless you failed in your +2.
BE- CSE provides wide career option in the IT industry and CU provides all the necessary opportunities for that , qualification of the faculty is masters, no PhD faculty are available, you have to keep self study in mind while choosing this college as it provides opportunities but not the needed teaching, teachers here are more employees and less teachers.
Fees for 1 sem is 120000 , for an year it is 240000 without scholarship, direct addmission, if you opt for cucet i.e an online admission test conducted by Chandigarh University for scholarship you'll receive scholarship based on you score , you can also opt for scholarship based on your 12th score , jee score, defense personal, single girl child etc.
There is CU fest held in the month of February every year , other than that there are frequent concerts once in every month also freshers, convocation and orientation are also there. Libraries have engineering books but no other collections, library are more like common sitting hall than that of libraries. Sport have less options, there is no swimming pool, sports campus is not allowed for girls most of the time , as it is outside the campus also has limited basic sports not much environment. Extra curricular activities are pretty good and active in the college.
Food in hostel is terrible, it has the same menu from years and don't serve seasonal vegetables, you'll barely find vegetables, poor food taste also there are no 24/7 Shop in the hostel , there's only one tuck shop closes at 9:30 in night and is kind of general store, there's one more small food store that serves terrible food mainly soya sauce and vegetable oil, rooms are 4 seater ends in 3-4 steps can barely walk in there, no privacy, common washrooms always occupied and no AC , the hostel is not worth living and takes a lot of money excluding electricity bill.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
