- Infrastructure was so good and Labs and sports facilities,class rooms are well equipped
- Faculty and Students in this college was so good.you will get a good bunch of friends and seniors who are very helpful throughout your college life
Dislikes
- I didn't like Food in some hostels as I am from south india i didn't like most of the dishes they made
- Hostels are old and not that good .some hostels are new they are ok
Remarks :
I want to join a college that is far way from my hometown.Based on my jee advanced rank i applied for various iits in counseling and I got this college based on my rank.There are no interviews and GD.Admission is purely based on jee advanced exam.As it is one of the old and top iits I decided to join here
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum was good and it was upto the date.I was interested in mechanical engineering so I choose this course.All faculty members are well qualified and they have PhD's from good institutions and teaching was also good.Mainly exams are there twice in a sem.Midterm and Endterm exams.Exams are moderate to difficult level depends on professor
Internships Opportunities :
During internship most of students from circutal branches get internships from good companies.Remaining students will do internships offcamous .I done my internship under professor of my college only.
Placement Experience :
internships was good for circutal Placements also good and some of the major recruiters are google, Microsoft, oracle, jaguar and landrover and Bajaj,Texas instruments etc .There is certain criteria it depends on the company.some companies put cutoff on cgpa etc.Highest package overall is around 1cr and average package is around 15lpa and around 70 percent of students will get placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly Tution fee is 2 lakhs and hostel and mess, remaining all fees is 75000. But People with income below 100000 get full tution fee waiver and for income between 1 and 5 lakhs will get 1/3 of tution fee waiver.fees is constant it is not increasing.
Campus Life :
Life at IIT Roorkee was so good.It is a very beautiful campus. There are many clubs to explore and many cultural and technical clubs were there. There are mainly two fests will happen every year.one is cultural fest 'THOMSO' .it happens in October month.Other is technical fest Cognizance which happens in March . Library was good and we will have all books related to courses and other books also. Sporting culture was also good in IIT Roorkee.we have good grounds and indoor game facilities was also good
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel were allotted by institute only in 1st year that is Rajendra Bhawan and from 2nd we have to choose our hostel.Mess was also good and it depends on hostel you got.You have to choose the preference and based on it hostel will be allocated by management.There are some new hostels and some are old .

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
