- We have world class facilities and the infrastructure is also good it all depends on how you utilize it to the best of your needs
- Our college also gives a lot of focus on startups and help students from filling patents to raising their first round of investments.
Dislikes
- There are a lot of things to do in campus and sometimes you get confused on what do i need to do if i need to do that or this.
- There should be more subsidized food oulets that needs to be open inside the campus currently we have only cafe coffee day in our campus.
Remarks :
I gave the jee advanced exam and got 9000 rank general male and i wanted to get into the top 7 old iits and roorkee was also the nearest to my home and i had my friend in the same course so i took guidance from him and then got into iit roorkee geological technology 5 year integrated program and i think it is the best decision according to my rank as i got good exposure there and there is lot to learn too. One reason for choosing Iit roorkee was also that
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is a bit difficult and the professor also speak in English and sometimes it creates a language barrier and we can't understand what they are teaching but we have TA's who help us and try to solve our doubts and we mostly watch online lectures from nptel.
Internships Opportunities :
I am currently a freshman here and i have not optedfor an internship currently i am first developing some skills and then i will apply for internships and most internships start from 2nd year in our college.
Placement Experience :
The placement and job opportunities are good if you are good in your field they are also foreign research internships full paid by the college and you can fing good in campus placement you just have to develop those skills that the market needs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees including mess , hostel , electricity and other miscellaneous comes out to 300000 per year and as per my integrated course it cost me 15 lakhs for my degree the tution fees per semester is 1 lakh rupees i had to pay 35000 during counseling of which 4000 was registration fees only.
Campus Life :
College life is amazing you will find very good seniors and you can ask them anything and they will help you we also have north india's largest cultural fest thomso in october in which more than 3000 participants came to perform. The libraries are also well equipped with ac and wifi and you can find all your course related books here and more and there are a lot of ebooks too.
Hostel Facilities :
The mess is just so that you can eat and not get your stomach full the food is very bland and the quality is also not upto the mark but you can find affordable tasty food in canteens and there are a lot of them here and they are opened 24×7 too

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
