The admission in architecture course is done on the basis of JEE PAPER 2 and NATA exam score via the JAC counselling. The counselling have the registration fees and have 5 rounds and also conducts spot round and special spot round for the students who couldn't get seat in those 5 rounds. The cut off is different for delhi students and outside delhi students and it the cut off is little higher for outside delhi candidates but most probably they get seat in spot round. The architecture department is the famous department of this college , it started in 2015. I got seat in spot round as i am from outside delhi candidate and there i paid rs93000 as to lock my seat then i got my allotment letter , then we had our orientation session and then we get to know about our department more. The Objective of this college for architecture students is to empower students to become protagonist of positive change by exploring , learning and practicing a sustainable architecture.
The faculty of IGDTUW in architecture department is very professional and all faculty including visiting faculties are graduated and pursued masters from top colleges of architecture in India. All the teachers have a knowledgeable background and many years of experience in this field. The department provides students with internship opportunities and workshops where they can meet other students and well known architects. The department is also connected with NASA National Association for Students of Architecture where the students compete with other architecture students of different colleges and also host events. The department consists of studios , CAD LAb , Survey Lab , Carpentry and metal cutting workshop , foundry and clay modelling workshop , material museum , climatology lab , resource room. They conducts mid terms and end terms and in end terms we have jury where we present our portfolios to external teachers and viva is taken. For theory subjects , written exam is conducted.A
In the first year , architecture fees was around rs162000 , in second year it was rs152000 and in third year it will increase and i will be paying around rs 165500 and so on . This college also give many scholarships namely - Pratibha Scholarship , pragati scholarship scheme , saksham scholarship scheme , MMVY , NSP Portal scholarships etc , the academic fess doesn't include the fees you pay for stationary items you buy for yourself butthis college fees is less than other architecture college. the architecture department of this college is famous and the knowledge we gain here is also exceptional. Yearly sanctioned intake is 50 students and it is a five year course. Also this college provides masters in planning and also the option for pursuing phd. The architecture department is the most beautiful deaprtment comparative to other blocks of campus and admin block is also in this department only , so it is maintained very nicely.
The campus has fest like jhilmil (diwali fest ) around diwali , innerve (technical fest) around october or november , aarohan (literature fest) around february , taarangana (cultural fest) around march . There are many societies like photography society - prekshya , fashion society - zena , MUN and GD , music society - tarannum , dance society - Hypnotics , drama society - rahnuma , rotract society , sports society - synergy , IEEE , resource club - frescourse. The campus have gym , basketball ground , main ground , nescafe outlet , canteen , libraby and digital library , badminton court , knowledge park , very nice sitting area near anveshan foundation , 2 hostels in the campus only , print shop , tuck shop.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
