IGDTUW Admission Dates 2027

IGDTUW will use entrance and counselling routes such as JEE Main and JAC Delhi for major programmes in the next admission cycle. JEE Main 2027 Session 1 dates have been announced for January 2027.

IGDTUW Courses and Fees

IGDTUW offers 9 B.Tech specialisations, B.Arch, B.Sc + M.Sc integrated courses, BBA programmes, 5 M.Tech specialisations, MBA, MCA, and M.Planning. The university admits only women candidates. Fees rise each year as per the year-wise fee structure, and the amounts below show the total programme cost.

B.Tech CSE and CSE-AI are among the most preferred programmes at IGDTUW. The B.Sc + M.Sc integrated course is one of the lower-cost 5-year science options in Delhi NCR.

IGDTUW Admission Process

IGDTUW admissions depend on the course. B.Tech and B.Arch seats are filled through JAC Delhi counselling, while PG courses use exams such as GATE, CAT, MAT, CMAT, NIMCET, state-level tests, or university-level selection as applicable.

B.Tech Admission

Women candidates can get B.Tech admission at IGDTUW only through JAC Delhi counselling based on JEE Main scores. The university follows two quota routes:

• Delhi Quota (Home State): This is for Delhi candidates with valid JEE Main scores. In JAC Delhi 2025 Round 1, General category women had closing ranks from 38,234 for CSE to 59,615 for Mathematics and Computing.
• Outside Delhi Quota (OS): This is for candidates from other states. In 2025, General category closing ranks moved from 12,437 for CSE to 29,448 for MAE and Dual Degree.
• Eligibility is Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with minimum 75% aggregate as per JEE Main norms, or 60% for SC/ST/PwD candidates
• For B.Tech, students do not apply directly to IGDTUW. They must register on the JAC Delhi portal during the counselling period

Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates as per Government of NCT of Delhi rules. CSE under the OS quota is much more competitive than the Delhi quota. In 2025, the General category CSE closing rank was 12,437 for OS and 38,234 for Delhi quota.

B.Arch Admission

B.Arch admission is also handled through JAC Delhi counselling. Students need JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch) scores or NATA scores. The course lasts 5 years, and eligibility requires Class 12 with Mathematics and at least 50% aggregate.

M.Tech Admission

For M.Tech, candidates need a valid GATE score in the relevant subject. Admission is through JAC Delhi management quota counselling or CCMT, depending on the route. IGDTUW offers M.Tech in AI and Data Science, CSE, Cyber Security, Mechanical Engineering, and VLSI Design. Final selection depends on GATE score and seat availability.

MBA, MCA, and M.Planning Admission

MBA admission is based on CAT/MAT/CMAT scores through JAC Delhi management counselling, followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview at IGDTUW. MCA admission uses NIMCET or state-level MCA entrance exams. M.Planning (Urban Planning) admission is through GATE or a university-level selection process.

IGDTUW Placements

IGDTUW has strong placement results, mainly in B.Tech CSE, IT, and ECE. Its Training and Placement Cell conducts campus recruitment, pre-placement talks, and internship activities with major technology companies.

NIRF 2025 data shows that 571 UG students were placed. The median package was INR 18.47 LPA, and Adobe offered the highest package of INR 56 LPA. For the 2024 batch, the overall placement rate was 71.7%.

B.Tech CSE and CSE-AI show the strongest placement outcomes, with an average CTC of INR 25 LPA and almost full placement participation. B.Tech ECE and MAE have an average package of INR 18 LPA. High-value offers have come from MotorQ, Microsoft, Adobe, Google, Twilio, Amazon, and Intuit. The top decile average is above INR 51 LPA.

Recruiters for mid-level offers include TCS, Infosys, Texas Instruments, HDFC Bank, and EY. Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Google, and Zoho are among the top technology recruiters. MBA and M.Tech students take part in separate placement drives for consulting, BFSI, and core engineering roles.

IGDTUW Rankings

IGDTUW appears in the NIRF Engineering category. It was placed in the 201-300 band in NIRF 2025 and in the 151-200 band in NIRF 2024 for Engineering.

The university also has NAAC A+ accreditation with a CGPA of 3.27. It is among the few women-only technical universities in India recognised through both NIRF and NAAC frameworks.

IGDTUW Campus and Infrastructure

IGDTUW is located at Kashmere Gate, New Delhi. Students can reach the campus through the Delhi Metro Yellow Line, with Kashmere Gate serving as an interchange station. The campus includes department buildings, a central library, computer centres, science laboratories, and a multipurpose auditorium.

The university has two girls hostels with accommodation for 400 resident students. Annual hostel fees go up to INR 1,60,000, including mess and accommodation. The campus has Wi-Fi, sports facilities, an NSS unit, technical clubs, and student bodies for co-curricular activities.

IGDTUW also has industry connect cells, a Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, and incubation support for student startups. The university takes part in AICTE-led Smart India Hackathon, Smart Campus initiatives, and joint research programmes with DRDO and other government bodies.

IGDTUW vs DTU vs NSUT

Women candidates applying through JAC Delhi often compare IGDTUW with Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT). All three are Delhi state technical universities, and all use JEE Main scores through JAC Delhi counselling.

DTU is ahead in NIRF ranking and overall placement averages. IGDTUW gives women a dedicated campus, strong placement support, and fees that are close to the other two universities. NSUT has a wider branch range. For women who want a single-gender campus, IGDTUW has an advantage that DTU and NSUT do not offer.
