There were several factors : Distance and metro connectivity;the Distance from my residence is 10 km (1hr ).This is the one of the best college in this radius . Environment ;The environment is academic oriented .Most of the Students are not involved in any unrelevant activities . The admission process is simple .You need to apply through jmi website and jee mains application number.
The course curriculum for first year is rigorous. There are 7 subjects for first semester[excluding practical subjects]. Sessional exams are conducted in the second month with 2 units for each subject . The overall faculty is good but some of the teachers are not upto the mark .
No I haven't applied for an internship as I'm still in first year . There are plenty of opportunities for everyone here . Most of the internships are paid around 5-10 k according to skill and workload.
There is an active placement cell in campus which facilitates the placements. Some companies which visit during placement season are: Samsung R&D Amazon Bloomberg Atlassian Highest offer last year was 25lpa Median package is 9lpa Most of the Students in btech here don't go for placements rather go for masters abroad or prepare for civil services. Hence placement percentage is low. Most of the Students who apply for placement get placed . My plan after the degree is to pivoted into software engineering roles in the IT sector .
The total fee for btech in electronics and vlsi design is 1.5lakh per year. Scholarship opportunities are present but the competition for them is really high . Scholarships have a strict criteria of income below 8lpa . The fees is not increasing as such but cannot comment on that as this is my first year .
Social life is not that great . It is average like if you really are a very outgoing person , you will find the crowd formal and shy . No fresher party was organized . There are many societies: The Robotic Society American Society for Mechanical engineers IEEE Soarx Library is one of the largest in the city. The library is air conditioned and wifi enabled . Apart from Main library there is separate library for engineering students which also has the above facilities . Sports complex is also well maintained . Sports like badminton ,cricket, football, basketball ,table tennis and many more are available.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
