- Hostels are modern. Faculties are very friendly.
- Beautiful Mountains and hills. Every year there is a trip from college to kedarnath, Badrinath,etc
Dislikes
- Campus is not that good. Small campus.
- Curriculum is very busy. 3 exams in a semester is headache. Above which tough exams are held.
Remarks :
Main reason for choosing this college is NIT tagline. I was not the top student in studies but i got electronics in this college. Electronics is a good branch our government is supporting VLSI industries in India. Cutoff at my time 2021 is 94% for electronics for home state in Jee mains. I have trained my self from youtube only. There are plenty of youtube lectures there for each subject.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course is not such easy you need to work hard. I have choosen electronics because in upcoming years there will be a boom in jobs in semiconductor industries. Every faculty us minimum IIT post graduate. Highly skill in their particular course. There are two mid terms and one end term in a semester.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven’t opted for internship but accenture visited this it opted only one 3rd year student for 45000 of stipend per month for 6 months. Projects are not considered in this case skills matters how well you are.
Placement Experience :
Placement are not at the level of top Nits but it is way much better then GFTIs. Around 70-80% placement on record. Accenture, Amazon, Flipkart, Oracle, optym,etc. last year highest package is around 25-28lakh per annum and average 11lakh.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is somewhat categorical. Family income < 1lakh : Tuition Fee - ?0 Family income 1lakh < 5lakh : Tuition Fee - ?42000 Family income > 5lakh : Tuition Fee - ?125000 There is a scholarship called Sharman Foundation which gives your mess and hostel fee if your family income is less than 1 lakh under a condition that you should at least top 10 student of the college. Im paying in the category of 1-5lakh and i don't have any scholarship.
Campus Life :
Here you have to little bit compromise in this case because our campus is on building process. There will be two campuses one at the current location Srinagar and one will be at sumari. In sports and extracurricular activities it is good.
Hostel Facilities :
I have opted hostel and mess. There will be given optional facility for hostel fee and mess. The allocation will be done on the college visit. Hostels are modern good facilities are given 24/7 high speed lan connection(10-50Mb/s) 24/7 hot water and cold water.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
