Remarks :

IIT Delhi is the second most renowned institute for engineering in India. Its placements are comparable to that of IIT Bombay. It has produced the highest no. of startups among all IITs and has the best alumni network. For selection into this college, 1) Qualify JEE mains and have a board percentage of 75 OR ABOVE 2) Attempt JEE advanced and obtain a good rank to clear the cutoff; for CSE, the cut off is around 120 (for general category students)

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum covers all the subjects and topics of all the branches in the first two semesters so that the student can then choose his further courses in his interested department and continue further, rather than going by the department he got through his rank. The department change option is available for student with a CGPA of above 8, and then cutoff is also based upon the CGPA. The subject is quite tough and questioning pattern too, but since the grading is relative, working harder than others will suffice and help you do better academically.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are available at top companies of all firms; tech companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook; consulting companies like Mackenzie; quant companies like Jane Street etc. Students get placed as interns after second year and may take up the job offer directly by that company or may reject it to get seated in the placements. Skills and CGPA are the first priority. Around 70% get placed as interns in IIT Delhi.

Placement Experience :

Students get placed as interns after 2nd year and get their job placements after their 3rd year (if they have rejected the offer from the internship company or have not gotten an internship). Top companies like Amazon, Google, Facebook, Mackenzie etc. (same as that of internships) come here to offer placements. The least package is around 8 lakhs last year. But around 87 students got placed with a package of over 1 Crore, which is a huge number.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Hostel fees = 70000 Seat rent = 15000 Tuition fee = 240000 for general and OBC with salary of above 5 lpa 120000 for general and OBC with salary of 1 to 5 lpa 60000 for sc, st and pwd 0 for all with salary below 1 lpa SBI IITD offers 0% interest loan for anything you require, fees, laptop, mobile and any other requirement. The loan amount compounds with a 7% interest after the expected graduation year (not the actual year you graduate in that may extend due to backlogs). This loan is open for all students and makes this quite affordable.

Campus Life :

There are 3 big fests held; Two tech fests called the TRYST, and the main fest; the largest of Asia with a footfall of around 2 lakhs, the Rendezvous. They have many events, sponsored (Or) arranged by the BRCA (Board of Recreational and Cultural Activities). This board has over 30 clubs including Music, Art, Dance, Dramatics, Economics, Debate, Fashion, Socials, Photography, Cinematography, Design, Blockchain society and many more. Over 50 sports can be played here, and people can practice for the inter IIT tournaments. All the ball games (except baseball) and any racket game that you can think, all the athletics, and any table games. It has a wide variety of events and competitions that allow a student's overall development.

Hostel Facilities :

Mess food is better in comparison to other engineering hostels. But the maintenance is poor, especially in the old hostels. Rooms are not dusted properly, except the common rooms and many insects get into our rooms because of this. Sports equipment of the hostels are in bad condition (broken, torn or ripped) and the hostel management is not really reliable. The hostel fees are overpriced for the facilities provided, which is the only but HUGE Downside of IIT Delhi.

Distance learning along with fun.

Placement Experience :

IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.

DU Experience Packed with Learning, Practical Skills, and Dedicated Student Portfolio

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
