The location is a major factor which made me choose symbiosis medical college for women. I wouldn't have chosen it had it been in some other place. Along with that the overall fees for the entire course is much lower compared to other deemed and private colleges. Even though they have a 10% increment in fees each year, i feel it is still a better option than others. The college itself holds a really good reputation which was another major plus point.
I chose this course because I knew i would like it and I would be able to get things done. The faculty is really cooperative and reliable. They ensure that by the end of each class, the students go back with more information.
We paid yearly fees for tuition along with mess and hostel fees. The total tuition fees which we paid for first year was around 10,00,000 followed by a deposit amount of 50,000 followed by 1,50,000 for the total mess and hostel combined. After this we bought books which costed around 5,000 for first year. Later there was an increment of 10% in both tuition fees as well as mess and hostel fees. The total amount was then 12,50,000 in all.
The campus life is way too good. It is really happening. Every month there is some sort of fest or competition going on, be it a cultural or sports competition. Also there are annual fests being conducted.
The food quality is like any mess' food. It is edible and nutritious. We have a variety of things veing served here. For breakfast we usually have idli, dosa, poha, egg, cornflakes etc with tea or coffee followed by lunch and dinner set differently for all days
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
