Least fee out of all deemed colleges , excellent infrastructure, Pune city, weather , less population were my reasons to choose SYMBIOSIS .Admission process here is pretty easy . The staff comprising of professors from 1st and 2nd year help you during the admission process . No specific preparation required. Keep the essential documents ready .
Standard Curriculum is followed keeping in mind the guidelines framed by NMC and the CBME is currently being followed. Faculty is very good . Most professor's have retired from AFMC and work here . Different departments exhibit different methods to teach according . They try to make things easier for us students. Exams are conducted timely and we need to appear for a lot of exams . Every month you something or the other .Apart from these Formative assessments we have 2 internals , preliminary exams and university exams. In between the examswe end up giving our postend exams as well. Do there are a lot of exams here .
In campus Internship is mandatory as per the Curriculum. U can not opt for externship . As of now none of the batch is undergoing internship so i even idk about the stipend. You can aaply to any college of ur choice for job .You can also setup a private clinic at some rural area .
Doctors need no placement. You build your CV apply there go through interview and yayy congratulations you are selected. Job opportunities are available in various streams/sections . After Mbbs most of us will pursue our PGs .We will appear for NEET PG or NEXT . Then some of us might end up doing superspecialization or fellowship as well .
Tuition fee for my batch was 10 lacs and hostel ,food and security deposit costed around 50 k more. Entire first year fee was 12.5 lacs. Every year there is an increment in the fee by 10/ . There are some rules to be followed which in case of non compliance shall be fined . Anandi Bai Joshi scholarship is also available for the top 5 NEET rankers which includes complete waivers the tution fee .
Life here is good , pretty chill for people who know how to balance . Social life depends on how social you are . Infrastructure here is good . Some areas in hospital require repair but yea that is the story of literally every other college. We have our fest "AVYANNA 2025" coming up in the Month of march . Library here is pretty small . Not all books are available but majority are available. We have a fully air conditioned Lecture hall for us spacious enough to accomodate 200 people easily . We do have a sports complex, volleyball and basketball court , gym, zumba classes at the hillbase and swimming pool at the hilltop. We do not have our own cricket/football ground though .ECC can be pursued by anyone either paid or free for eg we do have kathak classes at Susgaon but not in campus . There are various clubs but they aren't very functional or effective.
Hostel is mandatory here . All 150 students live in the hostel . As of now we have 3 sharing rooms till the final year .Mess food quality is Okay. Though our mess serves food better than other colleges. Infrastructure is good. Registration for hostel is pretty simple . We have staff here to help . It takes minutes to complete the procedure .
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
