I chose this college because it was close to my hometown and had a strong reputation, supportive faculty, and practical learning opportunities. Since I didn’t make it to NIT Srinagar, I focused on preparing for the written test and personal interview, which helped me feel confident throughout the process.
It was pretty good, and the adminstration have changed now so you can expect more development in the campus.I really like the course curriculum because it balances theory and practical applications. I chose this path due to my passion for electric vehicles and interest in optimizing pricing systems. The faculty is great, and exams were on time, with varying levels of difficulty.
In our 7th semester during the winter, we had the opportunity to complete a four-week internship at various substations across the valley. It was a great chance to gain hands-on experience and learn from professionals.
I didn't secure a job through college placements, but my friends were fortunate enough to land positions. Placements have been quite challenging here, with only a few students selected, even though many companies visit campus.
The yearly fee structure I paid was Rs 40,500, covering tuition, caution, registration, admission, development, lab fees, and other compulsory charges. Fees can vary by category—Management, SC, ST—with reserved categories sometimes having reduced costs, while management students generally pay more. Tuition fees may increase yearly, so it’s helpful to keep an eye on that. Scholarships like the Merit-cum-Need and the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)—which supports students with a family income below Rs 2,50,000—are available to ease financial burdens. Understanding these costs and available scholarships makes planning much easier.
There used to have fests like tech fest or sanzal like fests where we used to participate. Apart from that sports week used to be there. The curriculum is fantastic, blending theory with hands-on learning. I chose this course for my passion for electric vehicles and interest in optimizing pricing systems. The faculty is supportive, and exams were timely and varied.
I didn't avail hostel facility there, but yeh my friends did and according to them it was not that good but I would say the fee was also not that much so we can say for that much fee it was worth it .
For placement University conducted job fair for the students where Banks, Private sector industries HR's also visited to take interview and thoroughly conducted the interview and make selection of the deserving students.
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro, infuses, bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.
quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.
Decent placement is seen here.Students get placed from semester 7 .TCs,Adobe etc companies comes here to give opportunities for students.Highest package of last year from chemical branch is 13 lakh and median is 7.5 lakh.
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.
Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
