Main factor for me choosing this college was affordablity and locality, i got admission through cuet exam which was pretty easy and the admission process was pretty fluid too as I had all the documents The staff is mostly good though some members can be unfriendly. I had to just submit my documents and fees for admission and everything else was done by them, though had to wait in long lines during admission form and document submission, there were no interviews or group discussions.
I chose this course as I am preparing for civil services exam, the faculty is very well qualified all having phd's in their respective fields and teaching methods of most professors is very interactive and easily understandable. The term exams were conducted mostly in time though sometimes were rescheduled Difficulty level was hard as every semester saw an average of 20-30% result.
I've not opted for any internship as my college doesn't provide any, there are no such opportunities at my college unfortunately if one wants to do internship they have to find it themselves and no stipend is given either .
As far as I know my college doesn't offer placements and I am preparing for civil services so that's my plan after completion of my course or something that will be in accordance to my liking but college doesn't provide or guarantee placements
The fees per 2 semester for BA is around 8000 rs which is consistent for whole 6 semesters and is same for all the students it includes everything from tuition fee, admission fee compulsory charges registration fee to exam fee and university fee which my college is affiliated to. Fees for other courses in medical department and IT department can go as high as 14 thousand per year which again includes all the fees from admission to exam to lab to library to compulsory charges. The fees has remained consistent for the past 3 years and hasn't increased at all
Many fests are conducted in campus though not consistent every year new ones are conducted and not monthly, but around 2-3 fests a year. Library has all kinds of books from all subjects though lacks in novels Classrooms have smart boards which make it way easier for professers to teach and for us to understand. Sports and extracurricular activities like football matches and cricket matches or art competitions are conducted often and whoever intrested can participate. Every sem group is run by students and Instagram pages such as gdc_sopore is also run by students. Though the website is run by college
I've not applied for hostel but hostel is available. Hostel is very close to campus all facilities are available in hostel but no mess service is available and the buildings are quite run down as not many students use hostel.
For placement University conducted job fair for the students where Banks, Private sector industries HR's also visited to take interview and thoroughly conducted the interview and make selection of the deserving students.
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro, infuses, bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.
quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.
Decent placement is seen here.Students get placed from semester 7 .TCs,Adobe etc companies comes here to give opportunities for students.Highest package of last year from chemical branch is 13 lakh and median is 7.5 lakh.
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.
Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
