- Here, they have all kinds of labs, well air conditioned class rooms. They have built a new academic complex where they will shift all the labs
- There are many clubes where you can become member of just explore
- Mess food is very tasty, menu is like restaurant. 3-4 days they serve dishes of paneer
- Library remain open till 3am staring from 8am, and 24 hrs in exam time
Dislikes
- They are very strict to their curriculum and listen very less to their student point of view
- I observed that they don't put their utmost efforts to reach out to core companies. Only start-ups and tech giants come
- Non veg in not allowed as of now in mess
Remarks :
I cleared my JEE advanced with OBC rank 819 and 4738 CRL, and wanted an IIT. My hometown is Haridwar so, Roorkee is the closest one I filled Electronic and communication at higher priority but end up getting mechanical at IIT Delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I preferred college over branch, I had no opinion on branch but now I am fine with mechanical Engineering. All facilities have done their PhD, most of them did from foreign universities. Teaching method is nice but very little engaging, they write on iPads and project the screen. They hold regular tutorial session for problem solving with Teaching assistants. most students come to class just for attendance and study on their own. Start their study one week before exams. There are two exams minor (mid sem) and major (end sem). In between there are quizzes (low weightage) . Some courses are very tough some are very easy. Some exams are open notes, you can bring your notes to the exam or formula sheet.
Internships Opportunities :
Initially my cgpa was below 7 so I was not shortlisted to most of the companies. There are two phases of intership season and good companies come in the first phase. But I got shortlisting in many of the companies in phase two but they all are startups so I started finding of off campus internships and got one in Panasonic (production intern) stipend 40000 But 3 of my wingmates (they have cgpa > 7)got really nice internship.
Placement Experience :
Placements at IIT Delhi are excellent, though recent economic challenges have affected recruitment. Most companies require a CGPA around 7.0, with slight flexibility (±0.5). Top recruiters include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Zomato, American Express, Microsoft, Graviton, Da Vinci, and De Shaw, typically making around 5 offers each. The highest domestic package offered was INR 2.5 crore for a Quantitative Trader role. Average 15 LPA. Last year, 70% of students were placed, with both high and average packages varying by company and role. My post-graduation plan is to secure a job. Despite some companies reducing CTCs or offers due to the recession, IIT Delhi’s placement remains highly competitive, with increased startup recruitment as well.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Here is the attached link for fees circular, it shows the annual fee structure for various programs at different entry years, with tuition and other charges increasing over time. The fee varies based on family income levels, with some scholarships for lower-income groups. Campus Life :
Here the main fest are technical and cultural fest technical fest is of 324 days in the month of March and the jewel fest that around October in the mids and break for availability of books library is open between 8:00 a.m. to 5pm where you can avail many books through online process let's talk about infrastructure for classroom all classrooms are well conditioned. Classroom is situated between the campus so you have to travel a little bit from boys hostel to classroom same for the girls hostel There are many sports complexes and spaces for extra activities like sports clubs such as music drama technical robotics fashion arts and lots. They also have DIY labs like makerspace, and the one which is most fascinating is the accelerator formula racing where they built a whole car starting from scratch You can become member of any of the groups and socialize yourself most of the websites for clubs, technical fest cultural fest are made by students
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I have update hostel room here if you live more than 5 km of campus then you have to opt for hostel. The miss food is really nice they have menu like a restaurant where they serve many paneer dishes. They also serve dishes like Chinese Gujarati etc there breakfast is the best and protein rich. Hostel rooms are foldable 8000 per semester here nearest locality is Jiya sarai katwaria Sarai If you are doing master then you have to spend your first semester in the PG near locality. But being in South Delhi prices are quite High like 25000 per month for 2 BHK

But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
