Should you opt for a Girls College of South Campus in Delhi University? (JMC Review)
Remarks :
The admission process was through CUET UG. The common entrance test was based on the syllabus of class 12th. I prepared for it by myself however several people opt for coaching too. No GDPI round, only written test marks are considered.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose B.Com program because of my inclination towards entrepreneurship. The faculty for the commerce department is renowned at JMC. Classes are regular. But the syllabus seems outdated to me. The exams are conducted on semester based system.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees is 66,000 which is divided into 3 years. The fees is slightly lesser for the Christian minority students. There is also a scholarship program available which reduces the fees slightly more.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is decent. There are enough societies you can be a part of. There is something for everyone, but you only have to take the initiative. There are sports facilities available too for those who are interested. Fests also happen in the month of Dec - Jan across Delhi University.
Hostel Facilities :
There is no hostel at JMC. The college canteen is mediocre in my opinion. It has many options but the taste is okayish only. It has many non vegetarian options so for someone who is a pure vegetarian, they might have a problem.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
